Anybody here a fan? I am a huge fan of there music with "Pleasant dreams" being one of my favorite albums of all time!
"KKK took my baby away" is a fantastic song and Joey ramone is a punk icon for sure

I just checked out some of their tracks. I see the Ramones done 'Blitzkrieg Bop". You often hear that song over the years on various TV shows and radio stations. Good track.

Ramones are definitely one of my favourite punk bands. Surprised to see you pick out 'Pleasant Dreams' as a favourite, I do think it's a good album but you don't often hear it mentioned as one of the band's best. My personal favourite is 'Road to Ruin', a perfect mix of their early punk sound with 60s pop influences.

I'm a fan. I can't pick a favourite album though as I like too much of their stuff.
If I had to pick a favourite song it would probably be Pet Sematary... or California Sun... or Rockaway Beach... or Havana Affair... I guess I can't pick that either actually

PunksNotDead,
I watched a really interesting show on 'Sky Arts' I believe. It was about The Clash but also talked a lot about the emergence of the Sex Pistols and the punk scene in general in London. It talked about the people that wanted a new scene which moved away from mainstream groups of that time like The legendary Rolling Stones (not knocking the stones of course, I can always listen to their music). I haven’t really listened to much punk if I am honest but after watching that show and listening to a few of the Ramones tracks today, I will give punk a good listen to. |

The Ramones were fantastic.
The first 4 albums were punk/pop at its finest. |

Great band - I was fortunate enough to see them live. In addition to the top tracks already mentioned , how about this one ( good cover too )

A few really catchy songs that have their worth, but I generally find them to be a boring and incredibly overrated band lacking in any variation.

The Ramones were, in effect, the punk Beach Boys. I doubt if any of their songs exceeded three minutes but they still managed to sound better and give more enjoyment in that brevity than 99% of today's chart acts. Shame they are mainly dead now.
