All true but as someone once said - Ginger Rogers, I think but could quite well be wrong! - ladies have to dance backwards and in high heels!

I too absoltey *loved* it. Totally brilliant TV and I enjoyed it becuase of how seriously everyone took it, it had a real air of competition and professionalism which is missing in most of our TV (mostly people do things 'for a laugh'). The only sad thing was not having Aled in the final, and as Richard and Judy just said on today's show, he was totally robbed. Having to sit through Julian's god awful samba left a bad taste in the mouth, but ah well, that was what the GBP wanted ! The right person won in the end.

As for Carol Voderman, that was really strange. When all the ex-contestants appeared, they showed Carol in the video clips, yet Brucie made no mention of why she wasn't there. I would have thought if it were really ill health or family commitment he would have said something to that affect, but this felt like they were trying to forget her. According to the Mail she refused to appear because of her embarassment at leaving early/her dislike of being criticised by the judges. If true, what a bad sport !
