But this is my point. Channel 5 have more money these days, so I do not feel the need to fill primetime week day slots with 27 year old films.

I'm looking forward to Hatfields. You know my view on Channel 5 isn't too different from yours, and I am glad they stopped heading towards the ITV2 style of programming.
I still think their programming is excellent, and fills a lot of my PVR with programming I enjoy. Just think the schedules could do with a refreshment at the moment. Channel 5 have always treated their imports really well, and I am astonished to see what they have done with Person of Interest. I would like to see a refresh from February after CBB finished - something like this:
