Poor start for Monroe. Looks like that is a goner after this series.

This is grotesque to bring this up in a ratings thread and I apologise. With all the coverage of Jimmy Savile in the papers,I think there will be a lot of interest in this Exposure documentary about him.
It's not unheard of for documentaries to get shoved on early, of course. I remember in 1998, BBC1 and ITV both did documentaries about England vs Argentina in that year's World Cup, the BBC scheduled theirs at 9.30 on a Wednesday and so, as a spoiler, ITV shoved theirs on at 10.40 the previous night, unbilled in the Radio Times, just so they could prove they'd done it first. And it just meant both got bloody awful ratings. And tomorrow's schedule on ITV means we get News at When again, and then again next Tuesday so they can show Mamma Mia! With the football next Friday that means we get News at Ten not at ten three times in eight days. Not good. |

Very interesting... thanks for that. The mind boggles re. Holby Critical, and how/why it was even mooted. Thankfully, the limitations of the premise in relation to Holby City/Casualty were obviously realised pretty swiftly.

also there is no way, the BBC needed a 3rd primetime medical series. Holby Blue, at least took place away from the Hospital.

So in 2014, with ratings down to 600,000 on some nights, the BBistas will stay be saying what a great series it is and how it picked up another 10,000 on timeshift and how this is the best season yet.
You were one of the biggest critics of BB's loyal 1.2m-1.5m a night Sunday to Friday opposite the Olympics and all sorts of other big events of national importance. But how have they been doing against less fierce competition since? Apart from CSI: Miami on Saturday, most of their primetime offerings have logged audiences of under a million since Thursday. And they won't have anywhere near as attractive demos as BB either. Nor will they offer as many different revenue streams. So it's easy to see why it's safe for a couple more years at least. And with so many naysayers next summer could be a right hoot around this place if BB does the unthinkable and actually increases its audience, as it threatened to do at the beginning of BB13 before dodgy production decisions and the sporting onslaught conspired against it. Maybe the truth of the matter is the idea of BB's future being pretty secure on C5 is an uncomfortable one around here because it makes them more competitive (especially CBB) and that rocks the boat a bit amongst those who like the natural order of things to be maintained? Just a thought. |

Haassan, if you can't be bothered to look for ratings (which are available on several sites) then why should people bother posting them? I will be way too busy to post full lists some days from now on due to Uni...

CBS will definetly be making some changes to Mondays, I imagine Rules will be back ASAP but I think Two and a Half Men back at 9 would bring some stabilty, 2 Broke Girls would do better with a Big Bang Theory lead in.
Additionally whilst 2 Broke Girls hasn't set the world alight on Monday night the real important question is – would Two and a Half Men be doing noticeably better? I suspect the answer to that is no. I think this is probably the kind of level we'd be seeing Two and a Half Men at so there's really no indication that CBS has actually lost anything from this scheduling. Thursday is likely a little stronger than it might otherwise be and Monday is pretty where it would be regardless. Quote:
NBC remind me of Channel 4; they find a hit and flog it for all it's worth because they have little else. Yes, people may point fingers at Revolution but would it really be doing so well without The Voice leg up?

ITV will be spitting feathers at this Man United defense. Paul O'Grady could lead an army of dogs through it.
Higher ratings expected for this match now. |

I actually think the show is improving. Still the rating is not great.
No one should underestimate the mess EastEnders was left in a few months ago. |

Someone on the old thread was questioning the scheduling of Exposure at 11.10pm on Wednesday. I know they have a feature-length Mrs Biggs and the news to fit in, but surely this is worthy of a 10.35pm slot on another day? Say Thursday, there's only a J Ross repeat there: this would probably rate better.

There are signs of improvement on screen, but it's going to take several months for them to be reflected in the ratings.

Yet it was rating better than it now. This has happened before; where soaps bizarrely see a decline during the revival rather than rough period.
As no one's posted this yet: BBC One a week on Sunday: 6.50pm SCD 7.30pm Countryfile 8.30pm Antiques Roadshow 9.30pm Marr. |

NBC's Revolution, Go On, and The New Normal has been picked up for a full season according to Variety!
EDIT: Oops, said renewed instead of picked up |

Nothing on C4.
There's three repeat slots on 4Seven. Yep, in standard definition. Quote:
In other news, C4 are reportedly very unhappy about BARB's reporting errors at the end of last month, which may have had commercial implications in their dealings with advertising partners, and have requested a meeting with the company:

LOL - C4 were the only broadcaster to benefit from it. I agree though they'd rather blame BARB than themselves for how shit C4 is rating at the moment.
Quote:
Interesting, but if that's the case it needs to include the final (ideally on ITV1), but it wouldn't be in BT's interests to give that up. I don't think they've any intention really of selling on any games - probably more a bargain chip to try and validate their dodgy deal.
BT means more money but who actually watches BT Vision in huge numbers? And who will get it to watch sport? I don't think very many. How did they get this rugby deal anyway? It's opened a whole can of worms.

Really want to use some rather choice language, because this has just ruined it for me. How am I supposed to tape it, when all of it's repeats are on a shit channel with shit signal, bastards. Yep, I think a fair few people just gave up when they saw no improvement in sight.
As no one's posted this yet: BBC One a week on Sunday: 6.50pm SCD 7.30pm Countryfile 8.30pm Antiques Roadshow 9.30pm Marr. ITV could respond with 6.40 Corrie 7.40 X Factor and pad X Factor out for an extra 20 minutes. ![]() or they could go 6.30 Corrie 7.30 X Factor 8.30 Downton Abbey Downton is suitable to screen before the 9 o'clock watershed - I assume, considering each episode is repeated the following Sunday at teatime. Maybe they could stick on a repeat of the Exposure Jimmy Savile documentay at 9.30 and get a big rating against Andrew's Marred documentary. Or they could put on a documentary about people farting. I'm sure that would beat Marr in the ratings as well. |

Hotel GB barely trending at all tonight, who were the two celebrities they hired to get people talking about it on there?

The problem with Holby Blue, of course, is that it wasn't enough like Holby City to appeal to fans of Holby City and nobody else watched it because they assumed it would just be the same as Holby City. They tried to have their cake and eat it with that, trying to launch a new drama - because I know the writers and producers said it was going to be completely different - while also leeching off an old one.
