That number would have been a bit higher if it was on a night where it was not competing against The Voice and the festival being aired live. Then again, being on an US broadcast network, censors will be surveilling for any swear words and stuff, that it won't be worth it. Whether if it was good buzz or just the Green Day meltdown, that is a better number for The CW. That number might be the same next Monday when eroding 90210 and the final season of Gossip Girl premieres.
NBC did an amazing job with The Voice and they are also confident in their new scripted shows since Revolution, New Normal and Go On was picked up for a full season. No doubt that the sitcoms will stay on Tuesdays, but I still think New Normal might take the Thursday slot after 30 Rock finishes midseason, which I am suspecting will be in January at the likeliest. The Voice is showing the "Best of" from this season's blind auditions before the Battle Rounds kicks in next Monday. They will have nothing to worry about if they can hold on to their audiences, but from the last two seasons, they start to bleed after the spinning chairs have done their job.
As for DWTS, that is shockingly bad. All Stars cycles in reality shows have proven to not deliver in recent years and this one is no different. They can't even compensate for total viewers as that area is also reaching new lows! 12m is really low even for DWTS standards. Castle could have done so much better for their 18-49 demo, but they are still holding strong for their total viewers with 10.35m. It is amazing when a lead-in dependent drama closes the gap with a megahit show.
Partners are in line with The Mob Doctor and Animal Hospital for the first cancellation. I think CBS will have too much pride to cancel a show first. The numbers for HIMYM and 2 Broke Girls are still decent and people must remember that this time last year, the numbers were heavily inflated because of Ashton Kutcher's entrance to 2 1/2 Men, which still attracted massive numbers. Mike & Molly is doing just OK and will no doubt get a renewal, as part of CBS Syndication Club with Rules of Engagement. Bones on Fox is starting to show their age and if The Mob Doctor airs next week, I am predicting they will get below a 1 and there will be reports of "lowest primetime season ratings ever!" and so forth. It will be a field day.

Especially two consecutive evenings, if EE rates 8m this week.....you may think it is Xmas Day!!!!
