16-34 share was 12% for the hour

Surely Homefront is in "possibly getting pulled" territory? That's awful.

Thanks gslam2

It's share of individuals was 10%, 16-34s was 6% and ABC1s was 7.5%, those aren't great numbers!

Be interesting to see how the return of Homeland will do opposite Downton on Sunday.

Strange for C4 to put one of its biggest hits against ITV's.

Some pretty poor ratings last night. Eastenders looks low for both the BBC1 and BBC3 airings. Emmerdale and Waterloo Road also very low in the 8pm hour. Corrie Years at 8:30pm rated horrifically considering the slot.

Yes ... and no.

I very much doubt that there's much crossover audience between Homeland and DA.

Personally, I'd say it's a smart move, even though Homeland is almost certain to be dwarfed by DA, which appears to be on a roll, despite some appalling writing that even Hollyoaks could put to shame.

Having watched Hunted, I'm surprised it didn't rate better and can only assume the football stole some of its thunder, as its action-packed plot plus genre should surely have appealed to a male audience. I wonder if it'll pick up on consolidated/iPlayer ...

Not that I wish ITV ill - but I have to smirk at Homefront's ratings. Why didn't they just show Bombshell and have done with it? I'm guessing it'll never see the light of day now - but I can't believe it would have rated much worse than Homefront ...

Wow! That's worse than I thought for Homefront!

Emmerdale 8pm ep struggling to hold it's own these days - down 800k and 7% share in the space of half an hour.

Still getting below 6m 12 days away from the anniversary live ep isn't great.

I know it's missing it's corrie lead out - but it was beginning to struggle even before they moved corrie.
Waterloo Rd not rating hugely either so can't see that it's the sole cause.
How did Wartime Farm rate?

What's on C4 & C5 at 8pm?

the bill should return on itv on thurs at 8pm as it would beat waterloo road which is getting
real low audience. thought the thurs 8.30pm slot was gonna be for sitcoms etc and as itvs comedy
slate is bare this would be a good time to launch something as waterloo rd no great oppersition but
instead its cheap soap spin off about corrie then emmerdale, seems tue and thurs nights itvs weakest
nights. thurs should be stronger with emmerdale just needs stronger shows at 8.30pm and 9pm

does the licence fee fund uktv channelss like dave as the beeb has the uktv channels on its portfolio of channels if so this kind of show eg red dwarf should still be on bbc2 instead of beeb funding shows like the dreadful royal bodyguard

Good rating - now let's see if it can hold steady or (like Dallas) will the nostalgia wear off.

No, the UKTV channels are jointly owned by Scripps Networks Interactive (a US company which bought Virgin Media's stake) and the BBC's commercial arm, BBC Worldwide, which receives no licence-fee funding. BBCW returns a dividend and other payments to the BBC, supplementing licence-fee income.

The BBC themselves were not interested in making more Red Dwarf, but they will of course benefit indirectly from BBCW's share of any profits from the ad revenue on Dave.

Nor Garrow’s Law, nor Pulling, Lark Rise, The Fades etc... As observed on TWS this morning as soon as something wins awards and becomes a hit, growing it’s audience the BBC is just as likely to cancel it as recommission it. Good on Dave for scheduling Red Dwarf opposite the Spooks-lite show Hunted, it’s ratings taking some viewers away from the BBC in a rather satisfying “Up Yours”.

Red Dwarf also rated better than some of BBC2's most recent sitcoms. This amuses me greatly.

Has anybody got viewing figures from yesterdays Europa League matches on both ITV4 and ESPN?

From ITV Media top 10 multichannels:

Europa League, ITV4, 17.30: 1.415m (7.0%)
ESPN not charting, so under 612k.

Red Dwarf did well but some disappointing stuff on the big 2. Awful for Homefront, how long do they need to stick with it? And a pretty underwhelming start for Hunted which doesn't leave much room to fall.

Red Dwarf 1.525m inc +1, 6.6% share. Only 8k short of Celebrity Juice an hour later (1.533m/8.5%).

Red Dwarf scores a 4.0 in ABC1 Men, and a 4.6 in Men 16-34. Impressive.

Russell Howard suffering with the tough 9pm competition: 668k (2.9%).

There will be plenty of viewers to go round on a Sunday night, when Antiques Roadshow and Top Gear clash on sunday nights they still get good ratings, I expect the same will happen with Downton and Homeland.

Disaster for Homefront. Another terrible rating for Itv drama, beaten 2:1 by Hunted.

Thanks! Is that an average figure for the entire coverage of both matches? I guess Liverpool's match (kick-off 8.05pm) had a significantly higher rating?
