Great result for GBBO,

ITV1 can make a big night of it tomorrow night if the game is played then.Throws them out a bit with DCI Banks fitting in three 2-part stories before IAC begins.

All Star Mr. and Mrs and DCI Banks - the shows that will be displaced tomorrow?

Presumably they'll run something up until the 10.10pm junction, and not bring the news forward given that they have to co-ordinate with STV / UTV.

That would work perfectly with a two hour show then as it'll give them some wind down time before switching programmes.

What happens to DI banks if Eng match is shown tomorrow? How can they show all six episodes before Im a Celebrity is back?

STV only show filler at 10pm in cases like this anyway, but they'll probably run until 8:10 anyway if the announcement isn't until 8pm.

They might put a Bond film on?

Oh, hang on.

Most unfortunate, and with En Fm Live tomorrow, my heart goes out to ITV!

Could they air Em at 6.30? Or in two parts, 7pm and 10pm?

It's actually England's 4th out of 10 qualifying group matches.

(Assuming it takes place).

When does Homefront finish? Maybe there's a filler documentary which they can drop and air DCI Banks on a Wednesday and Thursday one week?

Or Tuesday and Wednesday? Or run I'm a Celeb at 8pm on the first Wednesday (which they might be doing anyway). They aren't as limited as you may think.

The idea of the football audience flocking to the GBBO amuses me.

Aren't they more likely to be going back to their Playstations ?

The Polish press officer thinks it might be playable in an hour ?

Hehe, on Twitter:

"Gabriel Clarke = poor man's Nigel Havers."

I hope Audrey Roberts is watching

He's never got so much air time, he's been on air more tonight than during an entire international tournament.

There may not be a huge soccer/baking crossover, but there will be football fans who would ordinarily have taken over the main TV at 8, forcing GBBO to be recorded.

The idea of gross generalisations amuse me, football fan, and have never even held a play-station.

It would be a disgrace if ITV went straight from the end of Em tomorrow to the national anthems. They are obliged to do a proper build up. Why not cut ten minutes off Emmerdale, or air it fifteen minutes earlier, cut an ad break etc?

If it comes to it, they could just run it a week late and bump I'm a Celebrity to 8pm and air the final DCI Banks in its regular slot. It wouldn't be the first time they've brought IAC forward.

I'd be more concerned about tomorrow nights live Emmerdale running straight into the football. Emmerdale is due to finish when the kick off would be. That will cause a massive headache and couldn't come on a worse day. Could ITV potentially move the match to ITV4?

They want to persevere for another hour - hilarious!

This could be the most watched ITV pre match coverage in years, especially when the magic heaters turn the ground into a steam bath shortly!

They could have kick off at 8.10 tomorrow. When BBC used to show some England matches on Tuesdays in the noughties, they used to show Eastenders at 7.30pm, then England coverage started at 8o'clock and kick off at 8.10.

They can do a proper build-up, on ITV4.

A very quick ad break from ITV - are they doing deals on the fly?

So Adrian Chiles and co have to fill for the next hour ??

Just missed the fact that Rep of Ireland are now 2-0 up in their scores roundup as well, even though goal #2 was scored four minutes ago.

Less than 2 hours now to the next programme junction.

2hr fillers now not an option.
