Completely disagree on all counts.

Yes, you're right. Women should be demure, submissive and know their place.

I don't agree I really like Felicitys character and was glad they made her a series regular

I actually found myself thinking how rude Oliver was to Felicity alot in season 1 barking out orders and shouting at her unneseccarily I'm glad to see its changed in these first 2 episodes and hope it continues

Hasn't he only just become her boss though? before that didn't his mother run the company. Olivier had the nightclub.

Wrong, so wrong.

Both actors are perfect for the roles they play, and have given good performances throughout the show.

As to not speaking to your boss that way, do you know many women who work for superheroes?. If you do, you can write a book and as a working title I'd suggest "100 things not to say to your superhero boss when they're having a bad day"......

Hmmmm the plot thickens. Is the mystery blonde his girlfriend from the island? I think the other guy from the island is up to something.

Loved these episodes. Arrow continues to impress. Like Vampire Diaries before it, it started kind of weak (something even the writers have acknowledged) but really hit its stride half way through season 1 and is keeping going!

I love Felicity! She's quirky, hugely likable, and yes... I have a massive thing for a girl with glasses. What can I say? I also love Dig. I think the team of Oliver, Dig and Felicity has become a key factor of the show. I'm loving the present day stuff even more than the island stuff, which is big praise!

Not to say the island stuff isn't good! I've been a massive fan of Manu Bennett since Spartacus, and he's brilliant at playing a bad ass with a heart. Hope he gets a bit more to do as the season progresses (and was his head on fire just now????), but as he's a regular now I'm sure he will. Not a massive fan of the love interest; she seems to have become a damsel they need to save all the time... wasn't she a supreme bad ass herself last year? She was much more interesting as that, than as Oliver's island girlfriend.

Also, I'm sure Laurel found out who the Hood was last year. I just can't place it!

I'd advise you not to look up the actress who plays the blonde on imdb as they give away a major spoiler about who she is on there

Did anyone else find that ending abit strange it felt like something got cut off as we saw Oliver in a prison then the boat or was it supposed to be another cliffhanger?

Not really as in series 1 Oliver was caught on camera getting the Arrow costume and got arrested

It turned out it was a set up so he could have Diggle dress up as Arrow while he was in prison so everybody thought that there is no way it could be him.

Buy saying that I do think he will find out sooner or later

yeah I remember that but that still doesn't really explain why lance didn't connect felicity with oliver when he spoke to her and saw her last night

If you can ignore the fact he can stand about two feet away from Oliver and be completely fooled by a hood, some eye shadow and a gravely voice then his overlooking Felicity hardly registers.

By the way, talking of voice I do love how Oliver in the flashbacks sounds completely different to Oliver now. Wonderful acting.

We saw the boat offshore shelling the island, then Oliver being knocked unconscious by a blast, then Oliver locked up in a cage on a boat.

It seems a logical step that after shelling the island the boat's crew came ashore and picked up the unconscious Oliver.

He already knows Felicity is connected to the arrow from last season. He contacted Arrow in this episode specifically by phoning Felicity.

At the time that he knew about Felicity and Arrow's connection she was just some IT person working at Oliver's family's company but Oliver didn't have anything to do with the company at the time so there was no reason to connect Felicity to Oliver any more than to any other employee of the firm.

He may now know Oliver is the boss of the company but he's unlikely to know specific personnel changes like Felicity being Oliver's PA now so, unless he finds that out, I don't see any reason for him to connect the two of them.

I was thinking the same last night. That part is very far fetched.
