Amazing finale - the action, twists and resolutions were brilliant.

Why is everyone going on about Felicity? This isn't a soap. How would the show be improved if they were a couple?

I personally like her. A wonderfully, funny geek.

But the show has been pushing these two pretty blatantly this season.

The shows not pushing them at all, just a lot of fans and their imaginations. As much as I dislike laurel she is the one and will always be the one. The show will not deviate too far from the comic book origins

Bollocks they're not.

Whilst I do not believe they will be become a couple the show HAS made references to it. Felicity has explicitly stated her interest in him many times. They are making jokey references to it from Ollie's side. They have read the internet shippers and they have made reference to it. I don't think it has been made in the they will definitely get together vibe but, yes, we know some fans want to see it and we are going to play with it vibe. Do not say you haven't spotted that. That was why I said either get them together or drop it as it is a pointless thing to add to the show.

If they want Laurel and Ollie to be the one they have a funny way of showing it. He has spent a lot of season sleeping with her sister, plus a one night stand with Summer Glau's character.

I like Felicity too. What I am asking is why should they be a couple and why would that be a good thing? So we can watch them kissing and holding hands when they are not fighting the bad guys?

I don't understand why viewers want characters to 'get together' in this type of show. Its not a romcom, it is a comicbook action series.

Great finale, excellent even. I see we're going Dark Speedy versus Red Arrow next season, right? Past Oliver going on missions for Waller? Laurel Black Canary, and without Sarah having to die? Methinks her fan popularity saved her from biting the bullet when transferring the mantle. With metas showing up next season too (and the prison already built to store them...), it' going to be a big season. A part of me hopes with Ollie's money trouble, and his company "in limbo", that we'll get an episode with billionaire Bruce Wayne trying to buy the place.

A few niggles;

Ollie shot the ceiling but it was away from him and Laurel and at the beginning of the episode (or was this last episode?) they're trapped under rubble. This seems like a MASSIVE misjudgement, as the the chance that none of them were killed by the debris was...y'know, especially since when it was a cliffhanger it looked like they could have got away.

Ollie gives the game away to Slade at the end before Felicity has pulled the syringe out! Slade could have quite easily realised EXACTLY what Ollie meant and snapped her neck.

If that's how you see it that's fine, there is no need to be rude, I disagree with you. Laurel is the end game like it or not and the stuff with Sarah is a way of finally putting it all to bed so to speak so they can all move forward

Two seasons in a row having a great finale, really pleased with this shows progression. You can always tell when a show has a planned arc from the start, my worry is what happens after season five??

Hopefully 5 will be the last. Seems they have it planned that far - better to go out on a high rather than drag it out like so many other shows. (Supernatural, Smallville, Buffy.....and so on)

I want her to be happy, but I agree Oliver wouldn't be right for her. What she feels for him is a mixture of physical lust and admiration for his heroics. I don't think they especially get on socially or hang out together; they don't have as much in common as he had with Sarah, for example, or even Lauren. Felicity has too much hero-worship for it to be healthy.

So she needs someone else. Which she nearly had, but he went into a coma. And frankly pairing the two geeks was a little obvious. She needs someone else, else her being unrequited will get boring.

I am not terribly bothered if they do get together but the writers have made a part of the landscape. They have had her pining over him all season long and they had a whole episode of her being jealous over Sarah. So they have introduced it into the show not the fans. They are only reacting to what has been served up to them.

I also don't get the difference between him ending up with Laurel or the relationship he had with Sarah and anything that might happen between him and Felicity. I once joked here that there was more attraction between him and Thea than there was between him and Laurel. (And by that I am not advocating a Thea/Ollie relationship before anyone goes there).

Very clever bit of past and present action.

Great end to the season - with the bonus of Nyssa return - but takes away Sarah at the end, willingly.

And the Hong Kong ending - can't wait for season 3.

I agree, 5 seems like the right number for Arrow. I don't know why, but it just feels like that would be the conclusion. Of course, come the S5 finale, I'll probably be saying they should do more!

a good finale , was great to see league of assassins used well and add me to the gang who like felecity/oliver.

i loved the fight scene with slade as it finally had the flash backs be meaningful. #eyepatch lol

expected roy to die personally.

laurel as black canary? i just dont like her much.

did he wash up near hong kong or did he make his way there himself?

I think we may get an Oliver being sent on missions by Waller in the flashbacks.

On Laurel though. Yes, she'll become the new Black Canary, the question is; technological canary cry, or affected by the particle accelerator exotic matter and develops actual sonic power? Will she be Arrow's first non-Deathstroke/Flash meta?

It's interesting that some posters are saying that Arrow should finish after 5 seasons as the fifth season would properly finish before a Justice League film which DC could then have Arrow appear in!

Just watched the final two episodes today. Really great stuff, I preferred them to any of the recent Batman films. Hope they keep up the good work.

I'll be disappointed if there's no Sarah next season. The cast seems to be getting smaller, I wonder who will be introduced as replacements.

Can't remember, Did Oliver think he'd killed Slade on the Island originally then before he reappeared in Starling City?

Yes, he was under the impression that Slade was dead.

Wonder if parenthood will be a theme. Diggel and Lilah are having a baby. We also know Oliver has a secret love child. Moira paid the mum to say she lost the baby and get out of their lives. Looking forward to S3 in a few months .
