I'm intrigued to know exactly what happened to him on the island. I don't want spoilers, but for anyone who knows the TV show or the comic books, do we get to find out more about his recent past?
it might not be this season, but I expect we'll find out enough as the show progresses. Of course, they'll have to leave some things secret for suspense and such. |

I liked it lots. I'll be back for episode 2.
Was that a 'Deathstroke' mask we saw on the island at the start? And I liked the little touch of 'Speedy' being into drugs. Nice nod to the comics. Oh, and how is it that Willa Holland now looks younger than she did in The OC? Loving the series so far. There are lots of nods to the comic history. They've certainly researched it well. Hoping that they continue to put the spin on "Speedy"/"Merlyn"/"Black Canary". Also, I might have missed the reference but was Kelly Hu's character actually "Lady Shiva"? ![]() Will be presumably a returning character if it was... (NB: They never used her name in the script, and I missed the credits). Also looking forward to seeing who the guy on island in the "Arrow" costume is, and who the mysterious big-boss character is talking to Mrs Queen. Best comics based series for a long while by far ....

Whilst the outcome of each rectification is not in doubt, nevertheless the sub or perhaps main plot is shaping up fantastically well. The mother presumably wanted to kill her husband and inherit the business and shack up with her lover. She is fearful he knows the accident wasn't intact one and that she will be linked to the plot.
However, the final scene on the island is a real surprise as who came back. Is it Oliver or the Arrowman? Who is he and what happened in that 5 years between them. Very intriguing indeed. |

I'm a big comic book fan and Green Arrow has always been one of my favourite characters. I loved hearing the names Ollie Queen and Speedy and Dinah Laurel Lance
![]() Why did they change the name of the city from Star city to Starling city?

They're new variations, but easily recognised. It's almost like a Green Arrow version of "Batman:Arkham City"! |

Have to say, I thought it was quite good.
The only thing I would have to moan about is that there was no warning before the first episode was aired. My son wouldn't have been able to watch the first minute of that, due to his epilepsy, and I'm sure that minute would have sent him into quite a state. It even got me dizzy, and I usually don't have any problems with watching wobbly/hand cam film material. Didn't get around to watch the second one yet, but will catch up with it tonight on Sky+ lol. |

D'uh!! Kelly Hu was actually "China White". How could I have missed that? She'll definitely be back.

So his bodyguard now knows his secret. Hope they don't try forging a duo of kind. Good action with enough normal elements to sustain. Looking forward to each episode.

![]() Hope he does. Liking what the Sister is getting up to, trouble, and Oliver finding out about Laurel & Tom.....'he was Dead', is a great excuse. Liked the IT Girl too. May have to watch again, but who was the Lone Gunman working for...did I forget. |

May have to watch again, but who was the Lone Gunman working for...did I forget. Presumably "Deadshot" was working for a rival buyer ... or maybe the Russians ... I missed it as well. Liked the version of "Deadshot", and the fact that they kept the eye-scope and wrist-gun from the comics. Wished they had also kept his "Magnum P.I." moustache from the early comics as well though. Tashes are cool ... ![]() Seems rather odd that they've killed off Floyd so quickly as well, seeing as he's such a major player in the comics. Maybe he'll come back with one-eye or something. Olly did leave in a rush....
