She has a 6 episode animated web show, which has featured Arrow & The Flash...that is probably how they came to know each other...tbh it is really not that much different from just dropping Constantine in the show.

He said something like "I had an animated encounter with her."

Huge spoiler on here in the US TV stories section people should avoid if they don't want to know what happens to one of the main characters.

They should have phoned Cisco to see if he could think of a codename for Felicity

Well Sarah was brought back. I wonder if they'll find another Lazarus pit.

Failing that Sarah could use the time machine in Legends of Tomorrow.

I was left wondering if there's more to this or not as one minute she says to Oliver he has to promise her something, cuts away then the next thing docs are running in.
I guess we'll find out at some point down the line.

Can they really bring her back, though? They've done it twice now. Once for Sarah and once for Thea. If every death gets reversed nobody will be able to take any kind of peril in the show seriously again!

Presumably Laurel is the one who's funeral we see in all the flash forwards.

that was my thinking ,,to be fair if you bring back everyone who dies theres no threat anymore

For the first time this week, I was aware that Sky are editing the show to put it out at 8pm. I've never noticed the cuts before, but this week's were done so cack-handedly they really stood out. One was Oliver pointing a gun at, but not shooting, an Island soldier he'd just thrown to the floor and the other was the Laurel stabbing scene. I looked at the on demand episode and, yep, the missing shots (literally in the first case) were there.

I've got to say though, I used to think Arrow was the best thing on TV, but these days I'm finding it a chore to watch, the plots are guff, the acting poor, bad guys that are the least threatening people I've ever seen (doesn't help one of them is a camp game show host) the action is rubbish and the production is really poor. The fight scenes used to be really tough, but now they're more like something you'd see on Strictly with everyone whirling and high-kicking. I almost turned it off 20 minutes in this week, but stuck with it. I'm going to try to make it to the end of the series, but if I do, I doubt I'll be back for the next one.

I agree with Gonzo though, I think something went on in the hospital to make us think Laurel is dead, but she's not really.

Yes, it was particularly noticeable! Seems a bit of a silly cut. Point gun (cut) guy is dead. What are you saving the kids from? The sound of the bullet? I would have thought the consequence would be the important thing! He's dead either way

It would make sense to fake her death given that Dark will just try to finish the job otherwise. But I don't see how they could have managed it with all those medical staff working on her.

I suppose it's possible they used what they did with Roy when he was 'killed' in prison, but also not sure how that would be pulled off.

How about a Legends Of Tomorrow fixer? Sarah finds out and changes the outcome

With Reiter being in the flashbacks anyone think he'll turn up in the present in the final episode of series 4 and be the main villain for series 5.

From what they were saying on DC Fancast, it seems like the whole idea was to kill off a character in order to introduce some element of high stakes to what they do.

So I don't think they are going to be reversing this one.

I'm left a tad confused after the end of last nights episode regarding Barry Allen.
I was under the assumption that Flash and Arrow were pretty much running side by side continuity wise but last nights episode would make it seem it's not. Either that or the writers made a big boo boo.

Yes, I found that discontinuity a bit jarring. Of course they had shot that funeral scene for the beginning of the season and, under normal circumstances it would be easy to slot that in anywhere prior to taking Zoom out permanently. Maybe, they just didn't realise that Barry would be sans powers by the time it actually aired or maybe they aren't trying to keep the timelines in parallel any more.

When Barry said 'Sorry I didn't make the funeral' I was like well yeah of course that makes sense as he's had to take the bus , then Whooosh!

I thought the same thing, as it made sense that unlike normal he couldn't just hop between cities but as Thrombin pointed out, I guess they didn't know at the time of filming where the 2 shows would be time wise and possibly got unlucky
