Me too & Me too. The sooner he goes the better! Part of me thinks Masood may make Zainab choose, ones and for all...there is only so many times someone won't be believed when telling the truth, not that I blame her completely, the people lying have always been very clever and had ways of backing up their lies.

To be fair, Masood and Zainab treated Syed appallingly last year, including stepping over their unconsious son after the AB roof collapse, which had followed the words "Get that perversion out of here"

Is it any surprise that Syed won't talk to his parents about his troubles? I remember a lot of being directed at Masood and Zainab last year and to be blunt, the whole family lacks a brain sometimes and also lacks empathy.

Not that the Brannings and Mitchells are any better. :sleep:

That's a fair point but Syed is no saint and has often hurt others, and I know people can pull the parent card but I just think he at age now where he needs to take responsibility for his own actions as they do with theirs or as they should.

I would say Masood probably have a lot more empathy than Zainab, she doesn't really want to connect with people on an emotional level and part of me thinks while watching her that she doesn't really know how, she's been very sheltered. Although I do think she's getting better.

They do lack brains at times and have made some really poor decisions in regards to their children, who clearly haven't turned out the way they imagined (& I am coming from an angle were I don't have children but I believe most parents probably do have an image in their head, at some point, parents correct me if I'm wrong) There seems to be such a power struggle in that family, imo.

However, despite these qualities I think it makes them more fascinating to watch, than the others,and see how they will react to certain things. IMHO.

I can't believe that any sane social worker or judge is considering giving Phil residency of another child to **** up. Even if they don't know that he was involved in the cover up of Heather (as we do) the mere fact that the last 2 children he raised are 1, a murderor and 2, an accomplice make him worse than Lola and Phil surely. If it all comes down to money, than he could always guarantee Billy a job and their rent on the flat, Oh except that it sounds like he's going to hood wink them that he is in a stable relationship and there is a mother figure around - exactly the same trick he pulled with Shirley when getting residency of Louise several years ago.

It's still trying to fool Social Services that the family set up was more secure than it actually was - they were only dating and half heartedly - Shirley gave the impression that they were solid and had already been planning to live together in a house other than the Vic. At least she was serious about him and prepared to try her best to make the family work and they still had Peggy around to help as well as Ronnie and Roxy. This is even worse, he's virtually alone, less support and friends than Billy and Lola who at least have Cora and Patrick and Jay and Abi on their sides and is just doing it to try and replace the aching void left by Ben, Shirley and Jay going.

Lola may ask for his help but it still has to be done on his terms and I think she'll come to regret it big time as he will hold it over her, probably treat her as an unpaid skivvy and nanny to her own baby whilst he makes all the decisions and knowing Phil, probably threatens to kick her out or deny her access every time he is in a mood.

yes but they were already sort of a solid couple. they werent living together no but it doesn't mean they weren't going out. im just rewatching 2010 stuff now and it had a pretty nice build up. dont think phil had ever intended to live with her either and yeah this is worse which makes me happy lol

Yeah, I get what you're saying I just think Syed needs to get away from his parents as much as his parents need to get away from Syed - they're poison to each other at times and yes, that's what makes them interesting to watch. I think Syed is a better person away from his parents and I'm hoping that's the main reason they leave, not just because Amira is moving away with Yasmin or whatever the reason is for her return.

Christian would never love someone who was bad inside and Syed isn't bad inside. Had Janine not dissapeared, leaving Syed with £10,000 worth of debt, none of this would have happened.

But Phil and Sharon won't be in a relationship, just a fake engagement. I doubt Rainie will be back because the actress is doing a film at the moment.

I would love Syed to come back in a few years with a better sense of self. I think over the last three years we have seen his family & Christian micro-manage his life. ahaha, you're right this is Janine's fault. Pat would say so,

I want Rainie to return but I highly doubt that she will. Tanya Franks who plays her is in America making it big over there

i doubt she would be in the cast list if she wasn't making an apperance. she might make a one off brief appearance in location scenes

Zainab and Masood treated Syed appallingly because of his sexuality. You could see why he kept that from them but it's hard to see why he has chosen to steal from his brother over telling the truth here.

There's a big difference between Syed's sexuality which went against his religion and Syed getting himself into a bit of debt and not being able to pay his bleach supplier. I am sure Zainab would've been disappointed in him but she would also have rallied to support him, it's only money at the end of the day.

Also it's Tamwar Syed has stolen from as Tamwar runs the restaurant and Syed forged the cheque in Tam's name. Tamwar is the only Masood to have ever done right by Syed. All in all Syed is a bit of shit in fact I remember he came into the show trying to con his own mother.

I think immigration wanting to see Phil is something to do with Louise..his daughter....living in Portugal.

It'll be good seeing Rainie back, perhaps she's holding onto information about Ava.
