Online shops

Anyone recommend some good, reliable online comic shops in europe/UK? I would prefer it if it's one that accepts PayPal.

I know of Reed Comics and thecomicbookstore.co.uk but feedback is scarce, any experience?

I've been using A Place In Space via ebay for about 4 years now for new US releases. Order on the Wednesday morning and I get them on Saturday. In the approx 150 times I've used them there has only been a slight problem with an order on 2 occasions, both times they were resolved with a message sent via ebay with one occasion resulting in a free comic.

It's not really a back issue shop though, just new releases. But everything comes bagged and boarded and well packaged.

I've been using www.disposableheroes.co.uk for years, and never had an issue*

*well, techically, I've had loads of issues, but you know what I mean!

Thanks. A quick look is giving me good impressions (thuogh i still have to check what are their shipping costs outside of UK). One thing though, in case you have experience with this situation:

What happens if i place an order that has back issues AND a pre order (like Batman #13 which is released on the 10th this month)? Do they wait until they have it so they can send all of them together?

edit: also, do they actually have all of that in stock? o.O

Just to pass along, i didnt want to risk any issue going out of stock while i waited for more info and so i just went ahead and placed an order (on that site, disposable heroes) for Batman #8 through 13# (including). I'll report back eventually on quality of service!

Sorry, nightmare afternoon!

Generally, if only 1 item is in stock, they will send it out to you, then send you the other one when it arrives.
The exception to this is the second item is coming in the same week, then they tend tol hold back the first item until the second on is in.

they also offer a really great "semi-sub" service, if you want certain titles each month.

No prob and thanks again for the info. I suppose they might ship it next wednesday, which is the release date for Batman #13, or maybe 1-2 days after

I have been using www.legionofcomics.co.uk for years. Daniel, the guy who runs it, is really nice and helpful.
He accepts Paypal and he can do subscriptions.

Just ordered a few things off www.disposableheroes.co.uk will see how they are. Although a place in space on ebay look good as well they dont seem to have that many back issues, although the stock is pretty limited on disposable heroes so order 4 Catwoman back issues before they ran out!

Been disposableheroesing for ~2 yrs now and it sooo beats the weekly trek to the LCBS only to find he didn't have enough money so only order Marvel stuff (me being a Batmaner). Around the 1st of each month I go along to the site and advance order (paypal) a months lot (~11 issues, more with the Death In The Family series going on) - think I recently did me Feb 2013 lot.

re: back issues - I remember when I had gaping holes in my collection and it turned out to be cheaper to buy a whole bunch from America than buy from a number of UK based stores - and they arrived in packaging akin to a lump of cement, themz Americans sure love their packaging

btw buying one of those wide letterboxes thru which A4 sized hardbacked envelopes can fit was such a good idea
