I can't believe how lucky I was last night - pop on and get the two free doughnuts for levelling up. Place the bus to get the freemium character (whom I had never heard of*), which saw me level up again. And saw me choosing the box with three doughnuts first time. Everything's coming up Emil... I mean Milhouse.

* - Honestly, we have a character of the day before we get Maggie or Sarah Quimby?
I'm confused. What bus, what character, what box?!?!

They are the level 59 updates. You won't have got them if you aren't there yet.

I'm always surprised they never add Chief Wiggams wife before characters who were only in 1 episode!

Isn't there going to be a Thanksgiving event first?

Bored of this event now and I've given up on getting the final prize. I feel like they turned act 3 into a bit of a shambles and added in unnecessary changes.

Well it's nearly over. Doubtful i'll be getting the Re-Neducation Centre. Need just under 2000 apples to get it. Think this is way down the bottom of my list of best evnts. Getting tired of the whole game to be honest. There's no fun in it. I go to play and think, whats the point?

The worst part was that there's no incentive to continue collecting S'mores/Gummi Ctuhulus/Candy Apples after the last prize (but you still have to get them when you get the Re-Neducation Centre, as you have to tap the monster every 15 hours before you can do *anything* else). The prizes were also crap as well (of the 12 that weren't crafting resources, there's probably four that won't be in storage when Christmas comes around - and that's only because two of them are character skins). And, yeah, it was a boring event this year.

Think this is way down the bottom of my list of best evnts.
I take it you weren't around for the Easter 2014 event - that relied on luck as to whether you got certain prizes.

No but i've heard it wasn't great. I enjoyed the Superhero one earlier this year. I was still trying to get the hang of the game at the time and didn't get all the prizes but it was good fun. The pastbfew have just been a chore.

My town glitched last night, it gave me $210,0000000, which effectively gives me unlimited donuts via the XP bonus game via the bloodmobile or rat trap van, if I could be bothered spending hours mining them. All of which renders the game pointless. Sigh.

Wish that would happen to me! I'd be able to buy land. What's the xp bonus game? I have the bloodmobile and the rat trap van but was unaware you could do anything with them.....

Not a game as such, you just get a load of XP when buyng these items in relation to the money spent. So if you have the cash to buy multiples of these it's a good way to level up more quickly.

Just read a glitch on the official forums and it works! If anyone is struggling to get the reneducation centre or any of the Act Three prizes, wait until M'nster flies over to his temple, don't click on him, click to visit a friend and go straight to a friends temple and just keep clicking on it for infinite toffee apples.

Oooh will have to try this. I was out drinking all day or else I would have narrowly made this. I find it hard to visit neighbours though. Usually crashes. Surely we'll get an extra day or two as usual?

I haven't been to a neighbours for a while. I got a bit tired of it taking so long. I'll miss out on the reneducation centre, but I'm not fussed. I spent all my remaining currency today on spooky walls as they give you 0.05% XP and Money boost, so I have built about 20 of them with the event currency I had left, as well as a few other things I can use to boost ratings too. That's about all the event is useful for at the moment. I spent my free donuts and the event kind of lost it's charm when they launched this last bit. To be honest the Halloween event should have been a lot shorter and just ended on November 1st. To drag it out until beyond mid-November is just bizarre. People need time to work on other things in the town and reorganise them before the Christmas stuff is thrown at us. I get the feeling we will have about a day of downtime before a mini Thanksgiving event and then straight into Christmas which will last until mid January.

That is my one major criticism of this game. They do seem to drag out the events until people are sick of them and offer an abundance of pointless prizes, such as countless spooky trees and hedges and make you create things you already got last year! I'd much rather they kept them short, say 2 weeks for the big events, so that people can enjoy them and still have a good chance at getting worthwhile prizes.

Totally agree - yet still I keep playing. Damned addictive.

the waling walls are the things to get as they were premium items last year and apparently give 2.5% bonus

0. Something I thought? Contemplating just paying the 40 donuts for the final act prize just to make sure I get it. I've no big tall buildings.

On the plus aide I've managed to amass about 3m in cash since the event started. But by the time I spend the cash on the few buildings available and extra land it will all be gone! Land is a must at the moment as my town is in a heap!

I actually got the final prize in the end, not quite sure how as I really wasn't trying but I'm so glad this event is over. Agree with the earlier post that said these events are too long... They never used to be this long but it feels like every event now just drags out longer and longer and the prizes get more and more average.

I've got 5 of them now, but not sure they still give an XP bonus as opposed to just money. Did they even spawn nightmares this Halloween?

I would like it if the game makers rewarded loyalty more by having all previous event items come back into action during the relevant event and contribute towards event currency for example.

It's 2.25%. (Due to the amount I crafted, my cash and XP bonus went up from 70-something to over 130%.)

They do give an XP bonus (as stated above). And no, they didn't spawn nightmares this year.

I got confused. The Wailing Walls don't give me any bonus. I only got mine this year. It is the spooky wall that gives you 0.05% bonus, thats what i mistook it for.

I just paid 30 donuts to make sure i got the final prize. Have been finding it increasingly difficult to be able to play so didn't want to take the risk. Also bought the Portal To Rigel 7 for 75 donuts. I'm a Stargate fan and it looks pretty cool so kind of happy i did. Hope there's plenty more free donuts to come to help replenish my stock!

Glad that's over. I really hope we get a break before the Christmas event. If the don't start it till the start of December that will be fine. Any thanksgiving event will probably only be little anyway,
