Why can't you visit neighbours?

I had the sound turned off for a while as well but it got a bit boring without it. Dunno why i cant visit. Seems anytime there is an event on and i click the icon my game just crashes.

I agree. I don't know why they limit these things so much. Is it so everyone more or less plays at the same level? Is it to make it fairer for people with less neighbours? People who have played for years have probably got more neighbours and it's all kind of pointless to build them up when you stop earning santa hats/baubles after a few towns and are limited to 5 presents.

How old is your device you use to play?

Ipad 1. Thing is it works perfect unless there is an event on. If they would just release a windows phone version i'd be sorted probably.

I'll save them up for a bit and see how many i get and then maybe buy a few limited time items towards the end of the event.

The snow monster which has been walking around doing nothing since last Christmas now has jobs if you tap on him. I'm not sure how long that's been there though!

This event is mind numbingly boring! All thats happened is ive upgraded a snowman and am now upgrading a gingerbread house. That's it so far. I'm missing out on the 20 donuts each week due to being unable to visit neighbours. There's just nothing of interest....

Event fatigue has not set in for me yet, but I'm sure it will - we still have a while to go on this one. However, having read some third party sites there is some good content and new mini games coming (especially act 3).

A mini game would be great. As rubbish as the event was i enjoyed the mini game for the football type event we had a few months back. Something different.

The event is pretty boring. There just isn't that much to do really. The upcoming prizes look really good though so that's something.

I don't mind it at all. I like that it isn't so full on as I don't have the time at the moment.

I just got Patches and poor Violet.

Patches and Poor Violet are next on my list and I'm working hard to get them as I've always wanted them in my game!

I don't quite think I'll make it though as I have about 5700 hats to collect.

Work on upgrading the snowman/ginger bread house and the squishie thing as the hat bonuses when you do help a lot to the target.

The santa hats accumulate quicker than you would think while you're upgrading the gingerbread house etc. i thought i would be the same and miss out on Patches & Violet. Im a couple of hundred away from the Cabin but reckon i'll make all the first act prizes.....

Do you have to get the prize before the first act ends? I've never been in that situation but I always assumed if you are behind and the new act starts you still work for the previous acts prizes before you can move on? Just means you would be behind on the newer acts...?

I think you miss out on them (or can buy them with donuts) once the act ends. I may be wrong though, I have never been in that situation either.

Presumably the event currency will change from hats in the next act. It usually does change with acts.

Usually you have to buy them, can't catch up once the event updates to next act

For once I;m finding it kinda easy to catch up - i think its good that if you complete the tasks on the snowman and gingerbread house then you're almost up to date with hats. I have less than 1000 to go to get the final prize

I'm finding it very hard to find the presents people keep leaving me. Iv tried the turn buildings onto hide mode etc but I still can't see them so I'm not sure if the game is sending false notifications or if they are hidden somewhere

I got Patches and Violet today after getting the bonus for completing the gingerbread house!

I think so. I'm at about 2500 donuts so don't think I'll get enough before act 2 starts.

Act 2 is live! So many buildings!

Didn't manage to get Patches & Violet in time. There was a huge lack of merrymakers in my town yesterday and no other opportunitys for hats. Also i notice that the crafting prizes from act 1 are gone which is annoying. In previous events they have continued all the way through all 3 acts and as such i hardly crafted anything as i though i would wait till the end and see what i had to spend.

Add to that the inability to visit neighbours meaning i've lost out on 40 donuts. Think i'll sit this event out.
