I got Act one prizes complete with about a day and a half to spare so I was happy with that. I had assumed they'd leave the crafting prizes up but i had all crafted except for some silly looking sign so I'm not too bothered.

What's confusing me is that when i visit neighbours I can see one of them has already 20000 holly collected - the act only started a few hours ago so how in goodness name can this be done?

I got the last prize last night, but disappointed as I missed out on crafting the ski chalet.


I logged in this morning and got the day 5 reward so started off with 250 holly leaves, but to have that many, they can't be off the game, must play it on the bog!

I give up!

Every single update is just issue after issue. Every update corrects one issue and brings several more.

The monorail event messed up my Springfield so much I had to nuke it. Twice.

The Halloween event wouldn't load. If I tapped anything event related the game crashed. I couldn't even see what the prizes were never mind get any.

This Christmas event has been fun because it's the first time since before the super hero event that I've actually been able to play properly, with almost everything working as it should (I couldn't visit friends but I can live with that).

Until tonight. Clicked the game it gets to the 'tap to continue' screen then crashes. That's it.

I've tried it on an iPad, iPhone and Tesco hudl 2.

I'm actually a bit gutted as I've put up with issue after issue after issue and spent Lord knows how many hours rebuilding my town. And I've just wasted two hours of my life installing it repeatedly on three devices and clearing caches etc etc and nope. It won't work. That and, when it works I actually really love this game.

I've contacted EA every time and every time they either tell me I'm running a hacked version of the game (I'm not) or that it'll be fixed with the next update (it never is).

Ready to give up as well, crashing all day. Just becoming a chore.....

Ive checked the EA forum and there's nothing about it there which usually happens with widespread issues.

It just seems that every issue that I could possibly get, I do get. And EA are useless. I mean, telling me I have a hacked version of the game? I didn't even know that was possible never mind how, and if I was, like I'd contact EA for support!!

Sorry, I know I'm being quite ranty and at the end of the day it's all a bit first world problems isn't it. But I've played this game since its release. Invested countless hours and put up with issue after issue. I'm just entirely bored of it now.

I can't really be bothered to go on the game as much either.

It's simples - hackers.

Also, if you haven't already done so, craft the Christmas Trees Slightly Irregular (20 bows, 40 baubles) - it pays out mistletoe* every four hours.

* - The image of which is actually holly.

For some reason one of my mission/quest series won't start. To unlock the building it says Level 42 but I'm currently Level 48 and everything except that is unlocking. It gives a building and a character (that nerdy kid who hangs around with Martin - not sure on his name). Has anybody experienced anything similar where something should have unlocked but hasn't?

The new daily task doesn't seem to work for me? Anyone else?

Today's challenge is to place the Xmas trees slightly irregular- I already bought this the other day and it won't complete the challenge.

I've tried storing it and putting it back out again and going to another friend/Krustyland.

Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT - Just seen post above. Hopefully EA will sort this.

Same issue here. Tried everything you did, same result. Also tried selling it, but you can't.

There is an EA case raised, so should be patched this week.

At least it doesn't stop the other daily tasks from triggering, so we can work towards bonus donuts.

Came here to ask the same. Glad it's not just me! EA have a week to patch it for us.

Bit stupid of them to make this a daily task when the item has been out for several days now. I imagine almost everyone already has the trees in their towns.

I didn't have it yet, luckily. Just hope there's no visit neighbours daily task so i can get some donuts this time!

Really annoying how when it says "updating" along the bottom, you can't see how far it is because it's in white against a white background of snow.

It also brings the long overdue arrival of some character called Maggie Simpson. (You do have to do some things to get her, though.)

I won't be able to visit till the events over probably, wouldn't worry about your town. Mine is very much a mess as well!
