The railyard/monorail building is starting to annoy me. All it ever seems to want is metal. I have loads of plastic and glass but all three options just want metal.

I have loads of track pieces but got into the habit of carrying it on for the 5 free donuts.

The lure of doughnuts is why i do it weekly.

I missed the original monorail event but I got the Christmas monorail station and track pieces assuming that was my 'in'.... Have I made a foolish mistake or can I participate in this 5 donut extravaganza?

The railyard for building the track pieces and getting the donuts was given near the end of the event so probably not.

Finally got through to an EA rep today. Told me to log in using a different device and that was it. They want me to sort their problem, no customer care at all. I feel sorry for the people who work for them and have to spout out the EA written crap they get given.

This end of the beginning task thing is taking forever!

I finished it today, was 22 or 23 parts I think in the end and I've unlocked the Maggie mini-game.

At the same time I did some Heights stuff in order to get rid of the face of that advertising lady on my task bar. Now I wish I hadn't as the more I do on Heights, the more things pop up and demand attention and upgrading. Now I've also just finished the Burns money mountain and got his vest, but that comes with it's own add ons too! A lot going on at once, but only the Maggie stuff seems to have a time limit at least!

Have you seen her "Attempt to Blend In" task? Part of it involves putting a lampshade on her head and standing still (thus pretending to be a lamp).

Anyone having issues with Where's Maggie minigame? I found her earlier within the time limit but when I clicked her nothing happened and the time expired.

Also annoying that you have to rely on sound to find her if you have a larger town as I rarely have the sound on.

Thanks for the tip about sound. I couldn't find her yesterday before the time ran out. Will turn my sounding next time.

The first few times I played the game it took a good 10 seconds to register that I found her but what I found out is that you need to zoom in on the building and press the building she is on.

I was coming on to check the same thing about Maggie! I had been clicking on her like crazy and it wasn't registering. Good tip about the sound though as mine is usually off

Just noticed The Stonecutters Number 1 character still has a task from the quest line that generates coffee via the Mountain lodge.

"Make Number 1 Control the Latte Market- Earns 15 coffee & 25xp per hour"

This doesn't show on the list of characters with jobs at the coffee shop, but is a nice extra way to bolster your funds for those still interested in Springfield heights.

Hopefully this is permanent and won't disappear when the Christmas event ends.

Winter event ends Tuesday morning.

I got baby Gerald yesterday so hoping to take a bit of a break now. I hope they don't foist another event or level update on us as soon as the winter event is over.

A break until a Valentines event would do me. Although last year they fitted the stonecutter event in between Christmas and Valentines. So they may have other ideas.

Going how they been doing past events you prob get 2 weeks off til new event start.

But the "Where's Maggie" minigame hasn't gone with it - so there's another way of getting doughnuts.
