I love the Simpsons but this game just has scam or dangerous written all over it, and that's why I haven't downloaded it.

I don't agree - it's just a fun game. I've been playing it for months now and not spent a penny on it - you don't have to but you just can't have ALL the features/characters.

However I now feel like crying cos I've had to start again - there's nothing I can do to resurrect my old Springfield so I'm considering uninstalling..!!

Pucky - contact EA, they should be able to restore your old game...

TescoJeans - The game is officially licensed and features the cast from the show, plus it's made by EA (one of the biggest names in gaming).
Definitely not a scam - but it could be dangerous if you don't have enough will power to say no to buying stuff, then again they do describe it as being "life-ruiningly fun"

In that case I may try it. I definitely won't be buying anything. I heard lots of bad reviews about the game prior to writing my last post which is why I thought that way.

Read a couple of posts back, I logged out and back in again but it didn't recognise my game. I tried a couple of solutions and nothing worked, so I had to restart...

Does anyone know if there is a way to put everything in your inventory at once? I fancy a re-design but will be too much work if you have to do it manually.

Considering that people can spend a lot of real money on this there should be something EA can do if someone loses their town.

As far as I know you can't but would be a good feature. Also would be good to have the ability to draw a box over a certain area so you can pick up your selection.

Did you contact EA to ask them to restore it?

I'm lucky in that I haven't spent any real money on this so have only lost a couple of months playing time so if it can't be restored then it's not too bad, but yes I agree there should be some way of restoring games, or if not at least ensuring that the player gets credited their special items/donuts.

I thought that something was a bit off.

People aren't getting their purchased items/donuts yet all the comments on tsto tips are nothing but 'got my items within 2 days!' and 'no need to apologise, got 5000 donuts delivered today!' type comments. This is the Internet and gamers are the most bitter of the bunch so i was expecting a lot of negative comments. Its quite obvious that someone is filtering the crap out of them.

YAY!! I got my game back. I'm not sure what happened but I've had an email today from Origin/EA to have confirmed the game is OK.. I logged back in and it's there!

I'm so relieved!

That's great reassuring to know that they can get it back should the same happen to me. Would be months of gaming down the drain!

Finally got around to getting this game. I can see why it's such a success. Polished graphics with addictive gameplay and very witty dialogue. Great stuff!!

I was thinking about buying from Gamezino, so glad I didn't as something just seemed off.

On the positive side level 33 is coming soon.
