I had to go round taking all the lights off my houses, they didn't automatically change back to normal.

Edit - ooh new level!

Do you need to have a free character or anything to start the new level? I'm totally upto date and just got the mini-update, but nothing has changed in my town.

On a completely unrelated note though, I just got my 5 day Mystery Box thing and got 10 donuts in it! That was a nice break from the mailboxes/parking lots!

Homer and Wiggum both had dialogues and then tasks after my mini update. There is also a building you can buy and some other decorations.

Edit - apparently it is Wiggum that starts it so not sure what Homer is doing.

Edit again - homers task is because I bought the new premium character

Homer's is just a 30 min task, my Wiggum's currently busy so I can't start anything else yet. Is this "The Investorettes" quest? I noticed I've now got a Fleet-A-Pita available.

I thought the Investorettes quest was only unlucked if you buy Luanne and the Cracker Factory

Yep, a reboot has done the trick! Nice that there's finally a new level. It feels like ages since I've had something new to do.

That would make sense! Now to save up some donuts!

A new level comes, which means I'll need money. Money I don't have anymore because I just bought the sodding Escalator to Nowhere because I was getting bored of there being no new levels or useful things to buy!

I'm in the exact same position! I decided to save up until the end of Christmas and then splash out on one of the big items and a lot of new land.

I bought the Sunsphere a few days ago and a lot of new land, and now I'm left with hardly anything! I still have enough to get buy on, but I hate my money going under a certain point. :[

I've just got my first Squidport tile, for people who visit, can you tap the tile please (or the farm/channel 6 building when I get them), thanks.

I will be removing those who don't visit or only tap the brown houses. It's worth your while as you get better xp for tapping the squidport tile.

Think I had a request off you, but keep getting a error saying can't add as one of us has too many neighbours.

Wasn't ignoring your request

The Homer quest line for level 38 only continues beyond the 1st 30 minute task if you've bought the Blue Haired Lawyer.

The main quest for the court house is the Wiggum one, that doesn't involve Homer.

I started the Wiggum quest line, he did about 3 tasks, but now nothing?? The last thing he said was about him having to investigate. But now hes not doing anything and the court hasnt become available!

Anyone know if I need anyone else free for the quest to continue?

Wiggum triggers the first 2 parts of the Court quest (Scandalous Spending). Comic Book Guy triggers Part 3. Wiggum triggers Parts 4 & 5 (which builds the Court). The build time for the Court is 36 hours so I won't be able to continue until tomorrow night.

Ah cool thanks. I used doughnuts and sped up the build of the court.. lol. I'm far too impatient!

How does that system even work?

I only visit friends houses during events. The amount of money/XP that comes from a standard visit seems so utterly pointless, and I was pretty sure it made no difference which building you 'shook hands' on.

To be honest, I'm still figuring it all out myself, even started a couple of feeder towns to try and work it out. I'll try and explain as best I can, but be aware I'm still figuring it all out so I could be wrong in some areas. It's also unknown whether this is a feature or a bug (and there can be bugs within the feature or bug). Either way, it could be removed by the developers at any point, but has continued the past couple of months and through a couple of updates (apparently, I'm fairly new to the game, only started playing on xmas day when i got a new phone haha). So here goes...

In normal circumstances, neighbours can give and receive. To give the building has to be ready, the giver (visiter) taps and gets a bonus (they can either vandalise or restart the counter for the receiver, so when the receiver taps, they don't start from the beginning). This can only be done once per visit. During events, the giver can get items too, like gift cards.

Except now there seems to be a feature (or bug) where certain buildings can be stacked. So if three different givers click once on a building, the receiver gets three handshakes to click on that same building. It only works on four buildings, but the best part is that those builders can offer some mega money and XP. The four buildings are Squidport tiles, cletus farm, channel 6, open air stage.

But it's complicated. The best for both parties are the squidport tiles (after the first ten or so tiles built by the receiver), as that gives big XP amounts to both giver and receiver. The farm can also be stacked, but only gives big amounts to the receiver (some are even farming 90 day corn, for this very reason), not the visiter. Same for channel 6 and stage, clicking on these gives nothing more than the usual amount for the giver, but the receiver will receive stacked handshakes for multiple taps.

And it gets even more complicated, as I am unsure how many can be stacked and the exact procedure to be able to get bigger stacks of handshakes. For instance, the first handshake you receive won't give anything special, you need to leave it there, and only click the second, third, fourth etc when they come. Growing 90 day corn could be pointless too, as the devs might have fixed this "feature" in that time (plus it's a long time, who knows if you'll even be playing the game in 3 months)

tl;dr - click on neighbours' squidport tiles for big amounts of xp (and have a floating tile ready for your visiters), but clicking on their farm/channel 6/stage will help them too, but won't give the visiter any bonus like the tiles (obviously the neighbours with 90d corn will want the farm clicking instead of tiles, you as the giver get no bonus, but might give the neighbour the incentive to click your 90d corn farm...)

It's being talked about on other forums, quite a bit of info out there if you want to look into it further. Going back to my quoted post though, I will be removing neighbours who don't click regularly, or on my tiles/farm (when they are fully up and running), it's nothing personal, but there's no room for passengers anymore.

I have been tapping your Squidport tile and would like you to return the favour please. I would also like to add that if I tap your tile once then come out of your town and then go back in again it is available to tap again and gives the same high xp. I don't think it registers another handshake on your part but it's a good way of gaining xp.

Cheers for tapping on my tile, they won't always be available as I'm currently building them up so they give really good xp amounts (the early tiles don't give as much).

I always look for tiles now whenever I visit neighbours, first thing i do.
