Well the countdown has gone from my game but I'm still collecting bells, but they are seemingly useless as the prizes I haven't got are now only available to buy with donuts!

It's all gone from my game now. All very green took some getting used to again.

I enjoyed the event. But I too would like a bit of a break now as well.

Mine just updated too, it's lovely to see no snow!

By the way I like your 'location', I loved playing the Monkey Island games

A firm favourite of mine. Often replayed too.

Had to force mine to update as I couldn't visit a few neighbours without being told they have a different version to me.

I must say the event kind of tapered off. I don't think it went on for too long as such, but it definitely wasn't as good in the second half. I was very disappointed that after collecting 4,000 extra bells after the event finished I was treated to a multiple choice donut prize box. I thought they might have actually given us some donuts, say 15 or so as a small prize for sticking with it even after all the other prices were won. All I got was 4 donuts!

Oh well, it'll be good to have the original town back before the inevitable Valentines Day update, which will no doubt lead into an early Easter event, then probably a return of clash of the clones or something along those lines, a small July 4th update, something else to keep the interest up in the summer and before we know it, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas 2015!

Nice little surprise today!

I'm using the downtime until Valentines day to rearrange my town and tidy it up. I was running out of space and during these long events I happen to just throw things wherever they fit.

I need to do that, I really need to re-design and start from scratch but it's such a long task I'm not sure if I can really do it!!

There is the nuke button...at least I think it's still there. That more or less destroys the town and allows you to rebuild it.

One annoying thing I get is finding trees or parking spaces behind large buildings which I placed to gain a higher rating only to forget about them.

My inventory had 20 car park spaces in it yesterday and I couldn't find a good place to put them!

I feel sorry for those who used doughnuts to get two of those islands, only for them to appear, U2-style, in everybody's inventory.

Nice and easy to take the lights of with the Light plunger.
I just discovered this after changing all my skins one by one. D'oh!

That was a bit odd. I bought 2 of the small ones as well, but then a few days later they were handed out for free!

I suppose those who bought them with donuts had them a while ago, but of all the premium items to give out, these seem to have been the least exciting anyway.

I always find the episode tie in quests a bit random. Still it's nice for once to not have to be in an event farming elves, or rabbits or snakes etc...

It's true. I don't watch The Simpsons anymore, it's been years since I saw a new episode, so the tie-ins are a bit of a mystery to me, but it's nice to see new content for free!

I seem to be earning donuts randomly when I complete tasks or go to others towns. It never used to happen. I used to have 0 donuts for weeks on end but now I checked the other day and I have 3 which have come out of nowhere!

It was added as an incentive for people to interact with each other.

Level 49 just arrived for me - new content with some quite old season buildings , but more importantly a new strip of land is available. Whoop!

And I spent all my freebie donuts on the Homer and donut chalk outline!

I hope that has a storyline somewhere!

I'm kind of hoping they bypass it this year and just do some normal level updates with old characters etc. I've found the last few events a bit of a grind for stuff that doesn't really fit my town design.

I'd rather we didn't have one - but then I do hate Valentine's Day with a passion.

^ And we may not be having one - stuff from the Stonecutters event last summer has returned, although in several waves - the last one of which ends on Thursday.

One of the things is the Stonecutters table, and the 10 free doughnuts I outlined during the event is still there (so it in effect costs 110 doughnuts instead of 120).

Hopefully we'll have the possibilty of getting the Easter stuff from last year's event - I'm still bitter about getting fences, gates and topiary rather than Shary Bobbins, Hugs Bunny or the Egg Council Guy.

That is what annoyed me about last easter too. I was bombarded with trivial things. I know it's a game which has premium elements but I got so irritated by getting these items. I think they have struck a good balance in the recent Halloween and Christmas events where what you win depends on how much dedication to the game you had.

All the stonecutters now pay out at the premium rate, meaning Wiggum, Smithers etc etc all have 50% more money jobs now when they didn't before, assuming you have the stonecutter versions of them.

And they were also split into parts - so those who burn throught the doughnuts to get all the prizes at the start now have to wait.

New Mini Valentines event- with a new skin for Millhouse and some of the last few years Valentines bits available to buy again,

I'm kinda relieved that it's not a full on event,
