How do you check your Humax Foxsat HDR to establish the size of your hard drive. The reason I ask is that I am replacing one of my two units with the new Freetime box, which is on order, and I am donating the one with the smallest drive to a relative.

Menu/System/HDD Control

Add together the used and free space for both partitions. If it's an early one it will have a 320GB drive. Only later did 500GB and 1TB (1000GB) options become available. Unless of course you swapped out the original drive.

The numbers you get will be a bit smaller because some of the drive is reserved for the boxes operating system files. (cached epg, channel, recording reservation, media list etc)

Thanks Graham! You have come up trumps as usual.

It looks like I have one 320 GB and one 500GB. No prizes for guessing which one my brother in law will be getting. There's no money involved!
