I adore Darcey Bussell as a dancer, but as a judge she's driving me to drink.

Yah? Yah? Okay? Alright?

I'm guessing that the production team have decided to cement her credentials by getting her to give the celebs tips to improve their dancing but it is beyond patronising - they have professional partners who are a great deal more qualified to teach them. Hated it, really hated it.

Yes she was - and genuine.

More qualified? I doubt it.

Hugely annoying but if we can tune it out her advice was really good. . Proper judge giving constructive advice. How novel.

Some of her advice was spot on, and if she watches the show back, I'm sure she will notice all the "yahs" and try to put it right.

First night nerves, perhaps?

Overall, I liked her.

Yah, I think she will stop once she realises how many time she has said it

Only a paying customer, or employer holding an audition can say "Don't do this, do that," even when advice is perfectly sound.

As an adoring fan of Darcey I suggest she switches to offer suggestions for consideration:

"How about trying lower heels to see how you like them?" With a smile and without a Yah.

I think having someone 'posh' on the judges table is bugging people!

Shock, eh? After Alesha and Len!

I really like Darcy - OK, I have a massive girl-crush on Darcy! As soon as I heard her speak, I knew that people would be picking up on this and I inwardly cringed for her. I hope she realises that this vocal tic, which is probably due to nervousness, comes across rather irritatingly and that she'll be able to eradicate it.

A lot of people hate a posh accent. That's their hang up It's the old chip on the shoulder rubbish that leaks out. I get it all the time.

I think Darcy will watch herself back and notice that daft habit of hers. She has a sense of humour though and will put it right!

Darcy seems to be a nice person and obviously knows her stuff, but to be honest, I found the constant 'yah?'s very irritating. I really miss Alesha, who seemed more vibrant

I'll say this for her - she's obviously looked at how she came across as a judge before and not been happy with it. I think what we saw tonight was a determined effort to establish a role for herself and it's paid off. A tad patronising maybe, but she was giving constructive criticism and support - the only judge that I saw consistently doing that. I was very impressed.

The more a cat or dog is offered tasty titbits the more he will come forward, in his own time. The more attention is forced on him the more he will turn away.
