This game seems to be getting great reviews with most reviews claiming it improves on B/W in just about every way imaginable.

Improvements over the original include:

More Pokemon available from previous generations

Pokemon World Tournament - The ability to battle gym leaders from previous games as well as previous champions.

The ability to make little videos.

IGN have given it 96 and ONM awarded it 91

Anyone buying it?

I pre-ordered Black 2 from Grainger Games

I'm getting it! Pokemon is my guilty pleasure.

I've played all of the previous games, and I won't be stopping anytime soon! Really looking forward to seeing what changes they've made.

I normally end up getting the two versions, but I'll probably play White first.

Already pre-ordered it off Amazon. I got New Super Mario Bros. 2, 2 days early so I'm hoping it's the same with Pokémon!

I've got both of them on preorder from Sainsbury's White 2 for myself and Black 2 for my girlfriend. Can't wait for it. I finished the story of White but couldn't get massively into it. I haven't been able to since Diamond which I put over a weeks worth of hours into. This should be good though, definitely worth preordering

Just pre ordered it from Amazon, I had traded in some games on there which should have got me a £29.60 gift voucher, however one of the games was rejected for missing it's manual so only got £17.90 (the rejected game is being sent back to me)

I have owned Red, Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Emerald, Leaf Green, Diamond, Soul Silver and Black.

I will not be getting Black (or White) II as I don't feel they offer enough for a new game. They're simply a redress of the older Black and White really. Sure they've got a few earlier Pokemon, but you can still get them anyway at a later date (via captures or trades). Some of the legendaries have newer forms, and we're given a few new locations. I don't think it'll be as spectacular as people are expecting.

I'll be waiting for the 6th generation game (if there is even a 6th generation). Unfortunately will be passing on this one.

Yes, its not a while new game, but it will offer more then the usual emerald/platinum of the series. We get to see the other half of the region, with new gyms and cities. I sort of wish we had a few new pokemon though. Like, if they had not released as many in the first place, and saved a few, it makes sense to find new pokemon in new areas...

I'm excited! I've pre-ordered Black 2 from Amazon (I pre-ordered it in july!) But moneys not been taken and no dispatch as of yet... usually amazon are pretty good at pre-orders though.

Mine just turned up from Amazon, I'm not going to play it just yet as I'm going to charge my DSi first (I prefer playing it while it's not plugged in), I need to work on Forza 4 anyway

Just finished the second gym and I'm enjoying it as always, but I do have one MINOR gripe with the game so far. It's not hugely spoilerish, but I'll tag it just in case.

Spoiler

Apart from this, it's a good game.

While I get what you're saying, Black and White 2 are more different to Black and White than Emerald is to Ruby and Sapphire.

They always do this sort of drawn out tutorial stuff at the beginning. Fortunately the pace does start to pick up and the storyline get more interesting once you get to Castelia City.

Anyway, I received the game slightly early and have just defeated the sixth gym leader.
It doesn't quite have the same feeling as when you start playing a new region for the first time and much of the game is the same as the last one. However, there are still plenty of new things to grab my attention and keep me occupied such as the new storyline (which is now starting to get interesting), the new locations and the new characters. So, while it lacks that certain sense of wonderment I experienced when playing through Pearl, Emerald, HeartGold and White for the first time, I'm still enjoying the game and I think Game Freak should be commended for making this "third version" a little bit more different, and not just the usual rehash like Emerald and Platinum were.

Barely even out of the starting town. Took me a few days to start the game and for some reason I'm not in the frame of mind to play it. Been busy, which never helps.

Good game so far, I keep meaning to play more of it but I'm too busy trying to finish Forza 4 (or at least get far enough so I can start hiring drivers), I'd just reached Driftveil City when I last played it a few days ago, I'm going to try and defeat Clay so I can try out the Pokemon World Tournament thing

Got the game a few days ago, and now I've got the 4th gym badge.

I thought I wouldn't really get into it, but it's managed to mostly keep my attention.
