2. Although right about the lift Craig should have kept it nice and simple and down to the point - no lifts on a Waltz that will get penalized.End of story
3. I dont like Denise personality but the dancing i found it nice
4.Darcy should give the criticism she gives as a judge NOT as a private teacher - tell them they need to get better in the posture but dont tell them how to do it - that's what the pros are for
5.No Pasha on first show but i liked Tess' dress for once

Liked the Fern/Artem partnership

Michael Vaughan will learn to relax and do well with Natalie

Once Victoria gets on her lower heels maybe she will feel more comfortable all round - the whole thing made me feel uncomfortable ....

James and Denise annoying couple but nice waltz

Colin - WOW!! yumptious and he had rhythm

1. First time ever I have thought a show fell flat
2. A LOT of mistakes.. More so than I think I've seen before
3. Nicky had many problems but obviously has musicality.. A 2 from Craig is ridiculous
4. Pleasantly suprised by Michael.. Natalie is a brilliant teacher
5. Judges marking is odd.. Not comparable with other years

1. Darcey was just ok, ya, but hopefully will improve, ya.
2. Love the Fern/Artem, Colin/Kristina (despite the ridiculous height difference), Michael/Natalie pairing
3, Hope Victoria can get over her nerves, but not sure she has much musicality, What was Brendan thinking leaving her dancing on her own so much!!?
4. Craig was right to give out about the lift but went OTT
5. Happy the judges kept the marks low

1. The show was the most underwhelming opening the series has ever had
2. Brendan was not to blame for Victoria's mess-up, he was doing his best to cover for her mistakes
3. New pro Karen has a bad attitude, zero chemistry with Nicky and neither her dancing or choreography impressed me at all. Craig wasn't OTT about the lift.
4. Darcey was surprisingly ok, proper scoring and good comments, but she needs to watch it doesn't turn into a how to dance lecture to everyone...
5. Artem's chest was the highlight of the night

1. I found myself giving the same criticisms as the judges regarding Fern's bent legs and skirt wafting, bumgate, liftgate, Victoria's heels....
2. I don't think I am going to take to Karen as a pro. I didn't like her choreography (far too much out of hold and the hands in pockets was awful) and her non-plussed attitude to the dressing down from Craig about the lift.
3. This is the first year where I've noticed Bruce really stumbling over the autocue. He seems fine when he is ad libbing. Let him make it up as he's going along.
4. I thought all of the dances were underwhelming. Denise was the best of the night, but it wasn't amazing.
4b (because it's linked to point 4). I don't get all the fascination with Colin and his dance. He didn't do much, it was mostly Kristina buzzing around and his foot movement on the CCC lock steps was distinctly odd.
5. I didn't notice Darcey's vocal mannerisms and I think she is going to make a firm but fair judge who is able to hand out sensible advice.

1) What an amazing surprise Sid was - it gave me goosebumps and I love his enthusiasm.
2) Lisa was amazing and it made me laugh with enjoyment but hope she can master the technique.
3) Felt sorry for Richard - why must he be expected to fit into the camp comedic role? I felt his dance was sincere.
4) The pace was a lot better tonight and we got to hear from all of the judges.
5) Anton should have done a lot more with Jerry and all the comments were rightly directed at him.

1. Sid is my favourite!!!!
2. I feel really uncomfortable watching Anton this series, he looks so old and so odd, the dye-job on his hair is awful!
3. Fair play keeping Brucie in it despite his occasional flounderings, that's real care in the community.
4. Darcey was less annoying tonight, she can stay.
5. Robin Windsor is a genius!

... and must be quite light to boot. I concur.

1. What a suprise Sid was didnt expect that at all
2. Lisa can really dance.
3. Dont worry about getting that ankle healed Aliona you wont be needed (or Iveta for that matter)
4. Anton is a monumental idiot.
5. Dani made Vincent look tall.

1. I thought the judges were much more generous with their scores tonight. Bit unfair on the first group? Especially Fern, Victoria and Nicky.

2. Lisa & Robin's sense of fun & joy is totally infectious. OK so she was slightly over-marked - but not much in opinion. Dance is as much about emotion & presentation as it is about the steps & technique.

3. Which brings me to Louis and Dani. Lighten up guys!

4. I just knew Anton would let Jerry down on the Latin. Where was the Cha Cha Cha? I'm going to have to vote like mad or she'll be first out.

5. How adorable is Iveta? Can she stay? Forever?

Week 1, part 2...


1. It was great to see Lisa's enthusiasm and it was a very fun performance, if perhaps not worth 8s.
2. Ola choreographed a good routine for Sid; he did quite well too.
3. On the downside, I thought Dani's routine was a little floppy and laboured and I was slightly disappointed. Louis has potential but his routine didn't feel like a proper, connected dance.
4. Darcey slotted in a lot better today.
5. The atmosphere on today's show was much better than on yesterday's show. It was good.

1. Great opening number from the Pros.... Good to have their dances back again!

2. After not having any interest in Lisa and Robin before, I really enjoyed them tonight, and Sid much better than I thought he would be.

3. Jerry great fun but so much posing in her routine.

4. Louis and Flavia FAB! - Can't wait to see more next week.

5. Thought tonights show was much more entertaining than last nights

1. Lisa's performance was my favourite from both shows.
2. Darcey is brilliant. She's so nice and gives really good advice.
3. Anton needs to do more with the choreography and give Jerry a chance.
4. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Sid was.
5. Erin's dress was beautiful!

Week 1 - 2nd day:

1. If Denise and James had danced today, they would've received a higher score.
2. Sid and Ola did well.
3. Kimberley and Pasha: Didn't like her hair, good performance though it could've been faster.
4. Lisa and Robin: So much energy.
5. Hope Victoria does better next week so she isn't in the dance-off.

Five thoughts

1. Jerry modelled her way through the Cha Cha
2. Tess's dress sense is still questionable
3. Richard a pleasant surprise and is trying very hard
4. Sid impressed me
5. Bruce is losing his way - and it is awkward to watch

Week 1 part 2:

1. Better show than last night but Bruce gets worse by the day.
2. Who pressed the '8' button when Craig scored Lisa, that was ridiculous! He was marking well until then...
3. Well done Ola, clever routine that made Sid look good. Even if their Latin is car crash they'll get through.
4. Iveta is an Aliona clone without the personality sadly. Johnny was predictably rubbish but quite fun.
5. Louis needs to lighten up and show some personality, he seemed very stand-offish.

Part 2
1) Lisa can dance, and I loved Robin's choreography. First time for me, I think.
2) Anton and Jerry were at the opposite end of the spectrum for me. At least Johnny Ball tried.
3) Much preferred Len tonight, less bitchiness towards each other from the judges made for a much better show
4) Like most other people really surprised by Sid, thought it was a really beautiful dance.
5) Overall a much better show than yesterday, better dancing, better atmosphere.

1. I feel so sorry for Jerry.
2. Louis was very good but my support is for his mum, how great is she (especially as a single mum) to send her hyperactive kid to sport/gym training rather than pump him full of drugs - her reward and his is an olympic medal. Well done to both of them!
3. Pleasantly surprised by Lisa, the girl can move!
4. Thankfully Darcy seems to have made a huge effort to reduce the "yah"s, so happy about that.
5. I know it was yesterday (and early days) but I don't think I'm going to like the new dancer, Karen.

Pt 2
1. Loved Lisa & Robin - he is a real sweetie
2. Little less self love please Louie [snake hips were good though]
3. Love Jerry one sassy lady but really off Anton

1. Liked Sid Owen's waltz. The emotion and sensitivity came across through his acting skills.
2. Darcey is still irrritating. But felt she will improve.
3. Lisa Riley has lot's of attutide and showed fat girls can dance. Including myself.
4. Thought Kimberley and the little toad who critique's people careers dances were boring.
5. Predict Johnny Ball will be the first out.

1. Thought the marking was more generous than first show
2. Sid, Richard, Lisa were adorable
3. Erin 's dress exquisite, and liked Richard in a "proper" tails outfit for the waltz
4. Whole show more relaxed than last night, even the judges
5. Non actors will need some acting lessons to bring out their performance
