Characters: Annoying Eating (Corry and Eastenders)
muchacho

Sorry, but they seriously need to film less eating.

In recent days and weeks I've watched Kirsty in Corry and Phil Mitchell in Eastenders eat like an couple of absolute peasants and it makes my stomach turn!

Anybody else have a pet hate of noisy eaters?

I can't stand it either! We can see that they're eating, why make such an awful noise to prove it

Kirsty is one of the most annoying characters I've seen in a while (on par with Ryan) and getting her to eat, is just rubbing salt into the wounds.

I bet I'm not the only person who fasts forwards through scenes like that.

I can't watch people eat onscreen or offscreen, I just cringe at the way people go about it.

I don't like noisy eaters, but there's plenty of people who have manners and can keep it quiet. I can put up with that.

It's when people eat and over move their mouth when there's simply no need. Just like Kirsty does. It's revolting. If they must film people eating then make it someone like Emily who at can at least chomp properly! lol.

The worst was Janice Battersby in Corrie. Non-existent table manners and they seemed to feel the need to frequently show scenes of her eating. Yuk.

Lucky you missed Gennie on Emmerdale eating the other night. Pasta or something, stuffing it in her mouth like it was going out of style, grunting and snuffling and sounding like a pig smelling truffles. Pasta hanging out of her mouth, chomping and slurping. YUK.

I know she is supposed to be pregnant, but there is no reason for all the piggish eating habits. ALL the soaps seem to do it. Makes me want to puke.

Oh, and slurping noises when they are kissing, double YUK

You can tell a person's class by the way they eat.

Some act as if they are shovelling coal.

Even Nikhil found that disturbing (actually I was wondering if his look of terror was leading to a more serious storyline lke OCD)

I watched this one. It was sort of light hearted as gennie ended up having trapped wind and thought the baby was on the way .

You beat me to it dessie, I was just coming on to mention that. I did write about it on the P&P thread, it made me feel quite ill, there was no need for it whatsoever

I would imagine that it was in the script that Gennie was eating that way, it was the precursor to the false alarm due to indigestion storyline.

The only actor EVER capable of eating on screen is David Jason, he pulls it of so well from Del to Frost
