I expect Phil will be involved in getting Lexi back now he knows that Ben is the father.

I don't understand why she even had her taken away from her in the first place. One scuffle? Ridiculous. Being unemployed wouldn't even come in to it as surely Lola would have benefits for Lexi?

If only people understood the half of exactly how hard it is to get judges to agree to the removal of children in far more extreme danger than this. The BBC has been absolutely shockingly irresponsible in this portrayal.

I think it could also be possible that Phil wants custody himself, as it is his grandson and therefor belongs to him, like his children belonged to him, and not their mothers.

MAybe we are going to see Phil being unable to cope after this, as he has never been totally on his own with a baby has he? Ben was a little older when he started living with Phil, without his mum, and there was always Peggy, or Shirley, or someone else to help out.

Combining a baby with emotianlly struggling over the lose of your family (for which this baby might be a substitute, but Phil will soon realize it's not the same thing) and a job, especially when you have lost both employees at the Arches, is going to be near impossible for a man like Phil. He will then enlist the help of Lola, seeing she does manage to keep the baby calm and happy, resulting in him letting Lexi go back to Lola in the end.

If Phil is successful in getting a residential order for Lexi it dosn't mean that Lola loses her rights as a parent, it just means that they must live with him. I don't know where this leaves poor Billy. In Lola we have someone who is not afraid of standing up to Phil and telling him a few home truths. It should be an interesting relationship. I don't think Phil wants to do the whole nappy changing, teething thing.

I hope she does get to be back with Lexi, I've actually started to warm to Lola, she's a real Mama bear.

I'm sick of Billy losing family members to Phil God, or TPTB, please give him a break.

I'm hoping that Lola will insist on having Billy and Jay as part of the package deal .

The quick answer is - judging by the way the storys going, and the fact that Eastenders pride themselves on the 'triumph of the human spirit' - that in the end, she probably will get her back.

He might if Lola and Lexi are ther..he would want to keep an eye on them.

Sharon is busy with the R&R and Jack, doesn't she move in with him soon. Besides she has Denny to take care of, although he seems to be fobbed off with Ian most of the time...as if he doesn't have enough on his plate with his own family, businesses and treatment for depression.

Either way it could be awkward. She'll still be seeing Jack and nipping back to his for some nookie.

It's funny that so many people have forgotten Ben and Lola's "afternoon of passion"

I suspect Lola will get her back, this was just a plot device to make Phil (and the audience, as if we didn't already know) aware that Ben's the dad.

Exactly. Not only was it an OTT reaction by lola but the ending was OTT too. Anyone would think lola had been framed for muder!

Once she gets her chance to spell out why she did what she did and they look at the background of that bitch bullying cow (older) Lexi and her mates, I'd be very surprised Lola would be convicted for anything, especially as bitch older Lexi threatened the life of baby Lexi!

I'm sick of Billy losing family members to Phil God, or TPTB, please give him a break.
Also its kinda wrong the whole thing and people seem to have overlooked this! Billy is her grandad, cousin to Phil and she has slept with the son of Phil?

I've mentioned this at length before, but there's only so many times I can bring it up before people get tired and tell me to shut up (like that user posting twelve-odd threads about people in their 20s and social groups in the General section lol).

I think the fact that they're rather distantly related (third cousins once-removed) makes people less cringey too.

I really hope she will. She has turned into a pretty good mum and shouldn't have had Lexi taken off her in the first place. I think this tells us

Spoiler

I wondered in real life if any lone social worker had the power to take someones child off them? Placing the baby in a car and driving off without any explanation as to where she was going and presuming that Lola must be guilty when all at that point was happening was she was to be interviewed.

I would of thought the baby would go to the Police station as well under the watch of the social worker till either Lola is charged or discharged. I mean Lola isnt charged with hurting the baby. But even if charged with assualt unless she pleads guilty surely presumption of inocents must be given until the court case.

I don't think they do. It's usually a group of people who turn up to take the child in circumstances like that, not one social worker. They're usually accompanied by the police, too, and from some of the cases I've heard about I'm pretty sure they always go to the police station until the enquiries are over.

This being EE, though, we must always expect the unexpected. Trish is probably taking Lexi back to her house.
