What is the point of having a live Band when you can't see them ? they've blacked them out .......what a shame! as having a live band is what makes the show extra special............ so why not just use Cds to dance to

It's still a live sound though, with the instruments arriving from different points on the stage. And that buzz of live performance. Can't beat it! And voices in the here-and-now. CDs would be flat by comparison.

Oh, there were the etiolated shadow-musicians up in the lit arch above the band during the James Brown. So we had some glimpse of the band

I want the band to be seen. They are an important part of the show and I like to be able to see the singers especially.

That was one of the things that was missing compared to last year and one of the things that made the show worse IMO.

I always liked the bit at the begining when Dave Arch banged his drum. Bring back Dave and his drum!

I wish they would bring back the tune that was played when the celeb and pro walk down the stairs at the start of each show. It had so much more formal elegance and wasn't as rushed as it is now with the Strictly theme tune.

Ah that explains it. I did wonder what went missing, it was like coitus interruptus.

Tess also failed to offer up her left thigh to Bruce as exclamation mark at the end.
Strictly last night was like a James Bond film without pulsating theme music, the best-known tune after Happy Birthday.

I noticed she didn't do that. But strangely didn't miss it one bit. I always found it naff.
