I Miss Alesha Already.

She had a great personality and good chemistry with the judges and I thought she was a really good judge, I remember last year people on here was saying they like her now, I bet you have all changed your minds now

Well I certainly prefered her to Darcy, yah.
OK yar.
Alesha brought a lot of fun and light heartedness to the show, Darcy's just a bit dull.

Alesha made Strictly what it is.

Ya, she did an excellent job. Ya. She played her role to perfection. Kay?

Saw her yesterday on her street dance kids programme.
That's the way to present. Keep the show going and let the kids and the judges shine.

No, I haven't changed her mind. I didn't think her dancing was particularly great and she was a crap judge. Darcey gave some good comments and hopefully she'll become less annoying as time goes on.

Huh, funny, when I said people would miss her a few weeks ago, when I said that Darcey was dull as dishwater, I remember being roundly ridiculed for making such a ridiculous statement.

If I get time I'll dig up the relevant thread.

Miss her slightly - especially as she was in the last series but she was always one with an eye for the main chance so I always suspected that she wasn't here to stay!

I deidnt miss her at all. I didn't mind her as a judge but I much prefer Darcey. Though I am a huge fan of Darcey anyway so went all fan-girlish when the show started

Would be nice to have 2 male/2 female judging panel & it's time Len retired. He's driving me crazier than Brucie!! ...that's another subject though.

Alisha was fabulous & has chosen to move on so that's what we all need to do & hope Darcey stops the yahs & the kays

It missed her Last night, she was fun and energetic. It's all to middle class and dull with Darcy

I've missed Alesha ever since the news that she's not coming back this series

Alesha was simply embarassing by the end of last series - it was obvious her judging was based entirely on who she liked or fancied and had nothing to do with dancing. There were several times on ITT where the pros outright said she was wrong, no?

Darcey was able to give constructive criticism and advice to the celebs that they were able to build on - I thought she was excellent at that. OK, Alesha may have been able to give the odd interesting comment, but it was clear she didn't care about that any more.

I am too - the show seemed quite bland last night and I think that's because Darcey hasn't got a defined personality on the panel like Alesha had. Hopefully once she's settled she'll drop the 'yah's; I can't remember them from the guest stint.

I think you're confusing Alesha with Arlene?

My impression of Alesha was that she grew into her role - whilst I agree that (from the start point she was basically repeating either Len or Bruno's comments, her comments, to me, seemed to develop more authority and independence towards the end. The analyses of the marks (which other members did last year) seem to bear that out as an impression.

In other words, I have actual numbers to back up my opinion. You, however, seem to be simply Making Stuff Up.

No.

I can't recall a single such occasion. So, hah, yet again it appears you are simply imagining things. Unless you're prepared to find some, you know, actual evidence?

I agree, she was better than this new one.

So what about when she gave Harry's tango a 10 in week 5, then had to give Jason a 10 even though he himself admitted he'd gone wrong because she'd backed herself into a corner? Her constant devaluing of 10s, full stop? And let's not forget her appearing drunk on a chatshow and outright revealing she was biased towards Harry. Nothing Made Up about that, and there's really no need for you to be so patronising.

Well, I don't actually have any episodes of ITT to hand. But I do recall Karen Hardy outright saying that on at least one occasion.

I dont miss her at all....

She was bizarre and inconsistent last series (knew she was leaving and didnt really give a fig) and prior to that, pretty poor.

I miss her, but I do like the ring of authority and tutoring Darcey brings. Now if only she can stop saying yah after every comment and put in a little more humour/lightness she will be an ok replacement.

The figures - the actual numbers - indicate that her marking was below Len's.

So any comments you make about devaluing 10s would be more appropriately directed to the Head Judge. Who, apparently, is an expert on ballroom dancing.

Because that is, of course, illegal.
She should probably have been executed for that, in fact.

Yeah, no-one's ever mentioned any bias before. Len "Sports Groupie" Goodman and Arlene "Anything in trousers" Philips, for example.

This is not patronising. this is me on normal mode. I can go to patronising if you'd like.

Yeah, well I do recall Karen Hardy outright saying that she'd been abducted by aliens. But funnily enough I don't have any actual evidence of that. Perhaps the evidence was stolen by the aliens.

I don't think Alesha was a particularly good judge in terms of her critiques but I do think the atmosphere on the judges' panel was quite sombre and lacked a bit of joie de vivre that Alesha perhaps brought. Though admittedly it was only the first show.

I still miss Arlene Phillips, bad decision.

I didn't even give her a thought. Always thought it was wrong for her to join the panel and she was a poor judge. Very happy with Darcey on first impressions
