And no, I don't mean she'll suddenly become a new Alesha or Kara, but I think last night was mainly down to nerves. She forgot a lot of the routine, but if she hadn't I think she'd have placed around third on the leaderboard

I think that she could be good at ballroom. She's going to be one of those that is much more comfortable in hold and once she's got one good dance out of the way, maybe she can relax.

I also think she could, in time.

She needs to get over herself first.

Victoria has always had great potential in my mind.

I would too, and it wasn't even her fault.

I think Victoria will definitely improve and I think she could be quite at Ballroom; being in hold will probably suit her.

I've really enjoyed the more supporting side to Brendan in these last two series (Lulu aside, but I can't really blame him!) and I think he's going to be good for Victoria. They seem to get on well enough.

She needs to hope the public keep her in next week as her score this week will keep her down near the bottom when they combine the scores, even if she does do much better.

She is a fighter so I'd expect to see her really get stuck in now.

I'm really rooting for Victoria to do well, so I was a bit gutted she lost it. There were glimpses of 'not too bad' in there too, so she has something to build on. I hope she doesn't beat herself up and can just move on and improve. Let's hope she has a confidence building number next .

After having seen Victoria perform for the first time last night I am very excited to see where she can go IF she is given enough time to make it to the finals.

I believe she really does have the potenial to be great if Brendan can get it out of her and she can also overcome her nerves.

She can and should get better the longer she is there.
She had some nice movement in her dancing that I felt were good and flowed naturally.

Can she be as good as Alesha or Kara. She could get pretty close if she completely gets into it.
I hope she doesn't become like Ali and is only good at the ballrom because she is in hold.
Cos I always thought if Ali had been able to let totally let herself go in the latin dances she would have been up there with the like of Kara, Alesha or even Rachel.

I think the public will keep her in, don't worry about that.

I hope so, but there seems to be a lot of negativity towards her in the comments under newspaper articles, e.g. the Daily Mail today. I have no idea how representative of general public opinion that is though.

If she can get a good ballroom under her belt it'll help her a lot but she needs to calm down. I saw some nice turns before she lost it so she's not a lost cause by any means.

It coldn't get much worse though could it? I had to look away yesterday. It was too awful to watch. Like someone having a breakdown in public. I do hope she calms her nerves.

This was always on the cards. At least it's happened now. I don't particularly blame Brendan for the choreography. To be honest, with her history she was just as likely to forget a simple dance so might as well give glimmers of what she could possibly do before disintegration occurs. Always better to go down in an inferno than fizzle out with a whimper.

That said, Brendan's really got to dial things down for next time. He knows that her mental state is definitely fragile so he needs to rein it in and be supportive. She might come storming back. Let's see...

I've always admired Victoria as a cyclist. However the documentary on her shown before the Olympic Games, revealed that she was in my opinion far too anxious to please everyone.
I feel that this anxiety is already showing in what we've seen of her in this programme. Because she's for ever apologising for her mistakes and constantly worrying about them I fear she won't progress very far.
Worse still, she may seem to come across as a bit of a whinger to some viewers.

I'm hoping she manages to calm down & not try so hard. The poor woman was in bits yet for a first dance she did really well. I normally don't like Brendan & pre Lulu I wanted him gone but the new Brendan is a sweetheart! He & Victoria should be ones to watch

I can't decide which was more uncomfortable to watch, Victoria or Brucie's jokes.

On a serious note though I think she has potential, she just got nervous and messed up, it could have happened to anyone. I think she will improve next week.

I think she has potential but I can't stand the way she keeps turning on the waterworks.

They will all improve. It's only week one for heaven's sake.

I think she can improve, for sure.

I think this first show the nerves clearly surfaced and and all the building tension of doing a first dance got to her but, next dance, hopefully she give herself a tough talking too (as I'm sure she's used to doing from her career) and say to herself "first dance done, now I know what it feels like to perfom, and now I can just go out and let the inhabitions go." At least I hope that will be her mindset.

The problem is she can't control the waterworks- there's no turning on! It just happens :P

I've danced for like 14 years, although not ballroom/latin (ballet and the like) and forgetting what you are doing on stage/in an exam is one of the worst feelings ever, you just panic. So I can't blame her since she has do 'dance instincts' to fall back on, for example the pros would just make something up etc but she can't The thing is she started out so well in my opinion, and was doing better than I imagined since she kept saying 'she wasn't natural' etc, so I think she'll have to just keep at it
