Is the scoring fair?

Not really fair over the two nights but mostly at the middle and bottom of the leader-board. Over all not too far out in terms of placing. For me Lisa was the best dancer of the night where Johnny was the worst (but only a point behind Victoria).

Victoria does need to stop being an emotional jelly. Flavia needs to learn you can be friends with a heterosexual male, or at least in public appear to get on with Lewis. Most of the men need to relax more and the judges need to mark & comment consistently. What one celebrity got away with, another was penalised for.

Early thoughts are, Lewis will end up a judges favourite against public voting.

Exactly. As has been said by many on this forum before, it's where the judges place them in the leader board which is important not the actual number of marks they get.

But the leaderboard was all over the place. They ridiculously overmarked Lisa for entertainment value - but you can't do that when that means everyone doing a Waltz can't score anything like as much for that. You also can't mark for comedy routines when no one else has the build for a similar routine. Dani wasn't that many marks behind the top 4. Victoria was marked down for getting her routine wrong, but she got a lot more content right and had far more content in the routine than several people above her - the mark reflected the negatives but ignored the positives. Jerry or Jonny getting more than Victoria was just unjustifiable. The judges had major differences on at least 3 people which left their overall mark looking less than credible. Craig had one night of dismally low marks and one of extravagantly high ones - presumably after someone had a word with him. The first night was marked on a lower scale than the second. It was basically full of dubious marking - with criteria shifting all the time - and the leaderboard reflects that.

I think it was perfectly fair and if Alesha was still there she would have given a silly 9 to Louis. Think Darcey fits in like a hand in a glove on there, but Craig has been the best judge on there this weekend undisputidly.
