I also think she could look fantastic, but she's never had any taste at all. Poor love.

It would be hard for her to even choose a good stylist to give her some pointers because she wouldn't know a good one if they came up and slapped her.

She has a lot going for her in many ways, but I don't think she is the sharpest tool in the box.

Some men will like her look because it's a tad obvious and a bit trashy. I wouldn't take that as a compliment though. I'd love to see her made over! It is possible to look gorgeous without looking tacky.

I would love to see her made over too. She is a stunning woman and it almost seems perverse that week after week she manages to look shockingly bad.

When they get it right (which IMO they do on occasion) she looks fantastic. I admit to being a bit baffled by the inconsistency.

I've always been amazed that she has a fashion column in a Saturday newspaper as she has to be one of the worse dressed women on TV.

The best tip is to keep it simple - ignore the bath towel style dresses. Last nights effort looked at the front like a tennis dress with a train attached to it

That would seem to make ideally qualified to be a fashion columnist, all the ones I see in the papers look terrible as do many of the fashion designers.

Fuuny thing is that I have to go to a ball next month - and I want to get it right

Priorities

1. Make sure I am no spending stupid amount of money
2. Keep it classy and simple
3. Ensure I don't go base over apex with a long dress

No doubt written by some long suffering journo who is paid peanuts to make it up for her. I'm not convinced that our Tess would be able to write a complete sentence.

She still has problems even getting names right

And, while are at it. anyone want to count how many times she calls salsa 'solsah' this year?

I must admit, when I worked for a well known national newspaper the 'fashion' department frequently looked bonkers and wore combinations of clothes that had us hacks on the editorial desk helpless with laughter!

She could do worse than pinch the stylist that Jayne Torvill has for DOI. JT normally looks great.

Tess is a clothes horse and just wears whatever she is given. Shame she does not have her own style.

Dipped hem dresses are fashion at the moment but you do need great knees.

Think that dress showed up what hubby and I have been seeing of Tess for a few years, she never closes her legs, they are always akimbo, (when she stands) TBH I have always hated the "mullet dress"

Ah! That's to remind you that she's from up t'North.

Same with her "joodges" when she remembers to say it that way. What's the betting her accent as about as "Northern" now as is Cilla Black's "Liverpudlian," away from the cameras?

Tess was a model, so I suppose she just puts on whatever she's given. But blimey, whoever is dressing her must be doing it for a bet. Must be.

Maybe she gets put in such tragic things so as to draw our attention from the inane wifflings of Sir Bruce.

What about that the black dress with the bulging pockets... looked like a schoolgirl who's been hanging around the cosmetics aisle in Superdrug a bit too long.

May I add and choose something that makes people admire the beautiful woman and not the dress. With Tess, all we ever notice is the outfit.

I think she always looks stunning. The hairstyles, makeup and clothes.

If Tess is intent on anorexia then someone needs to tell her that her legs are no longer a positive feature. Longer dresses Tess and for god's sake eat a proper meal and put 10lbs on.

Also speaking as a bloke, I wouldn't.

As for the dresses, the Friday night one looked like she has a Victorian wooden frame underneath and the Saturday night one make her breasts look wonky (the right was lower and larger than the lef), although this illusion might have been down to her hunched stance. It also drew attention to her knees, very few people have beautiful knees...and she isn't one of them.

ROFL!

That was absolutely brilliant, thank you - I needed a laugh.

I couldn't agree more re. Tess' styling. Awful dress, hair and makeup. Particularly as Darcey looked so pretty.

I dread to think what one would look like on me , but I must say my teenage daughter has one and it looks really lovely on her.

That said, she is a tall, very slim ballet dancer with beautiful legs so that probably helps.

Oh no hon! It comes from Cuba and has nothing to do with sauce. Seriously. You mustn't listen to Len. He knows zip about salsa, or Argentina, or tango - or friggin' gauchos for that matter!

I could go on but someone might shoot me
