Did Lisa get good marks because of her weight?

He bends too far back or moves his arms too far behind him. Most of us finish our arm extensions just behind our shoulders but because of Louis' flexibility he can extend his arms way behind his shoulder and because he can, the extensions take longer to create and finish and he loses timing. It's pretty easy to fix though

She's a good mover! The only dance I rewound to watch again.
Compare hers to, say, any of the other female contestants and try to convince yourself she wasn't as good.
Go on. I dare you!

absolutely brilliant dance - has obviously taken training a lot more seriously than others, has natural rhythm and i'm wondering if because she's good at remembering lines she's also good at remembering steps.

her and colin are my favourites at the moment ”

I agree, I couldn't care less about her weight, I want to be entertained on a Saturday Night, and she did it for me.!!!!
I loved watching it. I am also a Kristina & Colin fan too !!!
As for Smug Denise Van Outen !!!!!
Don't get me started on her !!!

Her timing was spot on all the way through and she totally threw herself in - I think she was fantastic.

Robin was really proud as well - you could see he was welling up when the scores were given.

Most enjoyable dance of the weekend, but overmarked (as was Kimberley IMO) - it wasn't a 30, more like a 26

It was lovely to see how proud Robin was.

BIB I noticed that too. I read yesterday that Lisa's mother died not long before Lisa started training for the show and they used to be really close, speaking several times a day. The run up to the show must have been difficult for her and Robin would know that. He was so proud of how well she danced and rightly so.

I really hope they don't drag out the 'dead mum' angle in the same way that others with flagging public votes have their kids/nan/famous friends dragged in by producers to curry sympathy. That would be a deep insult to Lisa, who's clearly had every opportunity to mention it in interviews etc. leading up to the show and hasn't done so.

I would also like to add in Lisa's favour that since the infamous 'chubbers' comment, she has not mentioned her weight once. Good for her.

I agree and only mentioned her Mum's death in relation to how emotional Robin was - total supposition of course - after the scores were in.

Has Robin ever topped the leader board before?

Don't forget the cage and the chair! And the decks... still not sure if that Charleston actually happened or I just hallucinated it.

I don't think so. I'm a bit worried about his camp/novelty choreography. I'm not sure how Lisa will cope with more conventional stuff. Hopefully there'll be no disco moves in their VW!

Monkseal confirmed to me earlier that it was the first time, no wonder he was so emotional.

I don't think the judges would have any compunctions in slamming Lisa is she was rubbish. They've done it often enough in the past, whatever anybody's weight.
What I liked about her was her total commitment to her dance despite her weight. I admire her because I have a paranoic horror of obesitsy and getting fat myself - so to see someone like themselves and feel good in their body and swing it around was just awesome. If I had her weight I would hide myslef away. So good on her, she has great confidence and it is very infectious. She's about feeling good and being honest about yourself.

Why choose when you can spoil yourself.

Actually, my original question which seems to have been ignored was not "do you think she is too fat to dance?"

It was actually "do you think she was over-marked because she is overweight?"

That is a very different question.

There is no doubt she can dance. There is also no doubt she was over-marked.

So again, the question is : was she over-marked because of her weight? If not, why was she over-marked?

To answer that question, you have to go with your hypothesis that she was overmarked. I don't think she was overmarked, I thought that routine deserved every single point that she was given.

It may be no doubt for you, but not for me.

Firstly, why would she be over-marked coz of her weight???
Secondly, I don't happen to think she was over-marked at all. She deserved those marks as she danced well.
