I read that as 'skid' marks, I have a small screen atm.

That is a very different question.

There is no doubt she can dance. There is also no doubt she was over-marked.

So again, the question is : was she over-marked because of her weight? If not, why was she over-marked?”

Come on. If posters thought she'd been overmarked, they'd have said so in their replies and some did. The amount of replies on this thread supporting Lisa clearly show most posters had no problem with the scores.

What an absolute load of rubbish. Whether or not somebody is over-marked is completely subjective - and it's clear that most people here (myself included) happen to think she wasn't.

I think what's actually happening here is that you'd pre-judged the dance before seeing it - and, to paraphrase the Fourth Doctor, you're now altering the facts to fit your views rather than altering your views to fit the facts.

youre stating your opinion as if its fact, it isnt

a lot of people disagree and think she can dance regardless of her size

BIB: I am utterly shocked and bewildered that after pages and pages of comments you seem not to get the general opinions of the other forumites. Yes, she's fat, yes, it's been said she's slightly overmarked. But she's not overmarked because she's fat. That's SO condescending it's baffling.

Furthermore, why should there necessarily be a reaon for that overmarking, if indeed she was overmarked??? In the history of SCD (ten series now) there are innumerable celebs that were overmarked, and some we'll never know the reasons. So why you seemed determined to impose your opinion above as a fact just annoys me.

I thought the performance was amazing because campness met with good technique. I mean come on its not like she got 9s or 10s A 30 was a deserved score which also leaves room for improvement

BIB That is so arrogant! It is very subjective, and as has been said, many FMs do not think she was overmarked. You are entitled to your opinion, but please don't tell us it is the only correct one.

Nothing to add to that.

Is a lift or a jump into your partners arms allowed in the cha cha cha. Genuine question, I'm a tad clueless in what is allowed...that new girl and Nicky Byrne were crucified by Craig so just interested to know if the move Robin made with Lisa is part and parcel of the dance.

I hope that this series, viewers will be laughing along with Lisa, not at her, as she has the time of her life and puts all the other contestants to shame.
Lisa clearly doesn’t believe her weight is a handicap, so neither do I. She’s my hefty heroine, and I hope she goes all the way — and stays exactly as she is while she does it.

She may have been mildly overmarked, Craig's 8 was probably a bit excessive if that mark is taken across all series of SCD, but the better question is did she place on the leader board where she deserved to - for me that answer is yes, she deserved to be top, and if that mark was what it took to get her there, then no, she wasn't overmarked at all in the context of that particular show.

So no, her weight didn't come into play at all, what did was good timing, joyful dancing and a fabulous performance that her and Robin really sold

The CCC doesn't have lifts, but on the show couples can do some things at the very start or very end end of their routine, but not in the 'body' or main part of the dance i.e. once the proper dancing has started (it does vary from dance to dance). That's where Karen went wrong with Nicky, as she choreographed a lift in the middle of the routine.

Thanks for that Buddy, I'm a massive fan but as I said, haven't a clue about the dance rules..
