I agree - his dance was very sincere and he obviously wants to take the experience seriously. It annoyed me that there was the expectation for him to do camp comedy - luckily Erin won't go down this route.
They did a fabulous classic waltz great choreography good footwork and top line. Great job for first dance,Bruno and Darcy's comments were totally ridiculous!

A tad undermarked with it - 6 would have been my mark

The out-of-hold sequences could have had more personality and perhaps been camped up. But the danger is of it being too camp and just ending up cheesey. I think Erin prob tried to avoid it in fear of it ending up looking ridiculous. So I can see both what they meant by adding personality to it but also thinking they overly criticised it.

Maybe it was a "Yellow Rose Of Texas" reference. Nothing says "camp" like Frontier Chic. Maybe if he'd been wearing a stetson then Darcey and Bruno would have "got it".

Thank Crunchie Erin doesn't go down that road - she is a purist and that is why I love her ballroom
