It all seems rather confusing as to what is happening next weekend. Normally it would be the Foxtrot and Salsa but then rumors earlier this week seemed to suggest a Tango and Jive.

However last night Tess commented that Nicky will have the Cha Cha Cha. Tonight Jerry mentioned her Foxtrot and Richard mentioned again the Cha Cha Cha.

What on earth is going on?!

I thought that week 2 wouldbe the reverse of week 1 so that all of them do the waltz & chachacha before anybody is voted out?

That's not how it was for the last couple of years with this format for the show. They've had foxtrot and salsa in week 2

I think Michael and Natalie are doing the Jive.

It seems really unfair if they are mixing the dances up from next week. I hope Tess has got it wrong and that we have a definite two.

PS: This thread is also for official confirmation of dances during the week.

Hopefully confirmation of dances will filter through as the couples appear on ITT.

Or through trusty Twitter.

I really wish that they would have the couple dancing the same dances in weeks 1 and 2 it makes it so much easier to see who is a duffer and who may be a diamond

This wouldn't be a good idea because it would mean the Waltz & Cha Cha wouldn't be performed again at a later stage when a higher standard of dancing would be achieved,

Jerry said on the live show that she's doing Foxtrot...

She just said "wait 'till you see my foxtrot", which is open to interpretation.

On the rumours that week 2 has the tango - the only source for that was an article claiming Aliona was showing Johnny a tango move when she injured herself, and he rubbished all of it on Twitter, including that specific bit.

Didnt Tess say both Nicky and Richard had the Cha Cha next week. And Jerry mentioned the Foxtrot.

It would make most sense if they just reversed this weeks dances.

Cant wait for Samba week already.

I would have thought Foxtrot (or at least American Smooth) would have been kept until Hollywood week in week 3, but then again maybe Tess meant Salsa instead of Cha Cha, cos if Jerry's doing a Foxtrot it would make sense if they follow last year's pattern, but neither Bruce nor Tess mentioned at the end of the show as they normally do, so maybe it's a free for all.

I know the Waltz was this weeks. And I think it should be next week's too but Jerry seemed to indicate Foxtrot.

If he's doing a tango, it would be an extraordinary coincidence because it's already been rubbished.

Possibility Colin has got the two waltzes mixed up?

I can see the reason why if they are doing the Waltz and Cha Cha again - guess it gives it an even playing field. A shame that we won't see them being performed at a higher standard later on in the series though. RIP Waltz & Cha Cha Cha.

Lisa's tweeted suggesting she's doing Viennese Waltz this week.

Once again the waltz was murdered by the male Latin specialists. They are always the same - stiff straight legs and tiny steps. And I hate it when they make beginners do pivots, just because they look exciting. Pivots are the hardest ballroom steps, and they should go in a straight line. When they are underturned, to make them easier to do, they bend round in a curve, making it obvious that the dancer is struggling.

Denise would have looked awesome if she had had Brendan. It was the same with Cherie Lunghi - she should have got Brendan but got James instead.

I don't know - those who did the cha-cha should get the chance to do the waltz later on, and vice versa.
