This isn't a "channel launch" it's just the name of the infomercial strand on the 5 USA in the mornings.

It's only a six hour channel broadcasting on 5 USA's capacity. Currently, the channel has been duplicating content between its main channel and on 5USA every morning.

It is possible that TJC licenced "The Jewellery Channel 2" for this very reason.

I was hoping that 5USA would get its morning hours back at some point. But that don't look like happen any time soon.

As The Jewellery Channel 2 (TJC Gold) has applied for a license from DMOL does this not mean that they will have a new channel number - ie LCN 56 after 17th - rather than to simply keep purchasing capacity from 5USA?
(Albeit it may remain within 5USA on Virgin?)

TJC emailed me to say that on Freeview TJC Gold is on #31 (still 0600-1200 and within 5USA) while 'TJC is: 0600-02-00' which if true is 2 hours longer than present and eats into Playboy! (The TJC EPG gives 24hr!)
Despite very few (including me) caring about shopping channels I can't understand why they had to get a license from OFCOM to carrying on broadcasting within 5USA?
Finally there a three threads here on this very insignificant channel...
