I hate it when failure to gurn is interpreted as lack of personality.

Picked up on this pre-series. Louis's biggest issue is his massive ego - he loves himself too much. Just look at that 1st preening VT of him in the studio - spends most of his time looking at himself in the mirror. Sums him up, as did that 'we were good' comment immediately post-dance.
He has no chemistry with Flavia cos she is naturally quite a cold fish & uber-competitive. He couldn't have been any less warm towards Flavia during that interview & barely even gave her eye contact.
Anyone as caught up in their looks as Louis is either horribly vain or gay. His recent tabloid blitz selling the message he's a lady's man looked fabricated - up there with Clifford's work with Cowell.

What a nasty post this is.

I don't think there is any proof that Louis is as you imply - to me it looked as if he was just mucking about - and you're equally mean about Flavia. Are you a troll?

And what exactly do you mean by "horribly vain or gay"? Like being gay is a bad thing.

This is a forum and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That was my impression. Nothing nasty about it. If you think it's a good trait to come over as excessively vain then fair enough. Where have I said anything anti-gay? Grow up.

I'm not thinking "it's a good trait to come over as excessively vain." Louis hasn't come across that way to me - that's my point.

You're quite right about the freedom to express opinions and I have the equal right to comment about the content and tone of yours.

At the point where you made the sweeping generalisation that all gay people are obsessed with their looks. You're free to express whatever opnion you want about Louis, but maybe you should try to leave out the lazy stereotypes.

Given the lengths his PR team have gone to paint him as a lady's man in the press in the lead up to the show, it's a relevant point to make. Get off your high horse and try & make a worthwhile observation yourself rather than slating mine.

I haven't got a clue about his sexuality but I have been agreeably surprised with his dancing and how well he came over on ITT. Really liked him and love the way he has himself under control and seems his own man. Go Louis!

Magnificent athlete, wonderful looks and good dance potential - but not the most articulate of men and speaks - as so many sports people do - in a series of predictable cliches

I am interested to see him dance but suspect I will FF any interviews, because he is actually very, very boring!

It's often the case with beautiful people.

But surely you must acknowledge that your observations are ill informed.

I was looking forward to watching him dance, I have to admit, but I found him a bit mechanical and boring. As others have said, maybe he'll warm up as time goes on...

But you are saying that to do a negative thing you have to be amongst other things, gay.

How are we supposed to observe your homophobia exactly?
