Radio Ga Ga would be good

But I'm pretty sure it'll be STL, not BR. You know what Louis' like on live interviews

Thats what I think as well - and it's not just cos I'm a Steve fan, I'd be saying similar about Steve if he was doing one of last weeks songs as well.

......it was such an all-in-one spectacular people will love to see it again. A vote winner especially combined with Nessum Dorma

I find it quite ironic that Simon Cowell made it very clear that he didn't like Will Young but has chosen 'The Sweetest Feeling' (sung by Will on Pop Idol) and now another Jackie Wilson song (that would suit Will's voice) for Steve to sing - what a hypocrite

BR- they DID only sing it last week....and twice at that, so a very strange choice IMHO. They are effectively saying we know we haven't got anything left to offer that's better than this.

Nessun Dorma - good to bring in a classic operatic song, for contrast, since it is their true genre.

Creep - Radiohead sung as opera ? Interesting but they could have chosen a more complex Radiohead song....it's a pretty repetitive toon and the words are hardly uplifting, especially for a big final. Didn't like the sound check too much...

Smile - the wrong conertations for Steve given all the fuss about his own smile.

Higher and Higher - great choice, a nice bouncy optimisitic love song that he should do well with

Against all Odds - again good choice, Phil Collins is popular and Steve has a good version going by last night.

Both acts had to pick what they considered to be their best song and performance to sing in the Final........it just had to be BR. And don`t forget the Final is likely to attract at least another 2/3 million new viewers who won`t have seen them do BR so potential for floating voters. Great move. Nessum Dorma as their final song - could be the show-stopper. Creep sounded great from what I could hear over Ben`s voice - the backing track sounded very powerful. A great diversity for G4. Against All Odds - very popular. Steve`s version slower than Phil Collins - sounded good in soundcheck (just wish he wouldn`t sing with such a pained expression on his face) Higher and Higher good choice......and Smile could be his signature tune really.

I agree with Penny. Although G4 sang BR only last week each act had to choose their best song already performed. BR was definitely their best so how could they not do it? There will be quite a few people watching tonight who missed last week's show and as it was so brilliantly done and well received by the GBP I think a lot of people will be happy to see it again.

The only song I'm not sure about is Creep as I think a lot of people won't know this song. I only know it from when they sang it at bootcamp.

Nessum Dorma should be great - the boys going back to their routes for his one

Steve has chosen some good songs too

Smile was obviously the one they think he performed the best from the series

Against All Odds is a good song choice and Higher and Higher is a contrast for Steve to sing a more upbeat song

I personally would have preferred "Don't Look Back In Anger" but then I've always been different...

Had to choose their "best" song already performed? How could that be the criteria - there is no way of determining it -it's purely personal opinion. They could choose any previous song and in my view they have chosen badly.....OK some people may not have heard it before but most who watch the XF final will have watched the semi and seen them do it already (twice !). Surely most viewers (even those that are G4 fans ) are going to think ....."but they did this last week !"
