Just got back. Were any other FMs there? if so, what did you think?

I'd not been to the Arena before and I was in the upper tier which nearly brought on the vapours as I really don't like heights. I've been right up at the back in the NIA in Brum but it didn't seem quite as precipitous.

Anyway, it was well worth it. I thought it was a brilliant gig. maybe not enough obscure older tracks for real RH obsessives, but I thought there was a good balance of old and new.

Did they play Black Star?
They never do but I live in hope.

I went too. it was brilliant. Best concert I've ever been to. They are such a great live band.

I'm one of those people, probably in the minority (or at least it sometimes feels that way), who isn't bothered that they don't play much from the Bends and OKC any more. I love hearing their newer stuff, and thought the tracks they played from In Rainbows were the highlight of the whole show. The King of Limbs songs also sound fantastic live.

I was halfway up block 102 so had a great view.

You are not alone - I like all of their music so was really happy to hear Reckoner and Separator. I would love to hear Thom sing Codex live - maybe next time, eh.

I thought Nude was excellent last night and I loved what they did with Lotus Flower.

Of the older tracks, I wish I had been around to seeTalk Show Host live as I think it is a track that is brilliant live.

No - they did do Planet Telex, though.

I saw them at T in the Park in 96 and spent the whole time hoping for a spot of Black Star, as that was my favourite of theirs at the time, but they didn't play it.
Turns out Thom had done a cover of it earlier in the day when he guested with El Presidente. The dick!

Nude was my highlight. This surprised me as it's a track I sometimes skip on the album. But it was spine-tingling last night wasn't it?

I thought they were about to play Talk Show Host when I heard a few chords before a song, but it turned out to be something else (forgotten what now). Shame!

It was.

The whole concert was something special though. There are quite a few clips up on you tube already.

Sister saw them at the O2 last night. Said it was a great gig but heavily weighed towards their last two albums (as expected).
