The chemistry between Flavia and. Louis ( or lack of it!!)
You could have parked a bus in between Flavia and Louis when they were being interviewed. What's going on there?

They were like this on the launch show. It could be that Louis does not find close contact comfortable - not everyone is tactile.

Why must we have all this fake relationship crap between the contestants? They are there to dance, not to satisfy the Mills and Boon viewers who have something lacking in their lives that they have to imagine others having fairytale relationships.
Pretend to be secretly shagging each other behind the scenes and some people on here have their own orgasms. |

It was abit odd I have to say. They were the only ones who didn't run up the stairs holding hands. It seemed to me more on Flavia's side than Louis's, she ran off from Brucie without him.

It is odd. Flavia didn't look that happy when she found out she was partnered with him. You would think she would happy given he, on the surface of it, looks like he has potential.

Pretend to be secretly shagging each other behind the scenes and some people on here have their own orgasms. Good chemistry doesn't equal a sexual relationship. Erin and Colin were brilliant together and had brilliant chemistry, and I really doubt they were shagging on the side. |

I actually thought that during the dance the chemistry was OK... There was eye contact and smiling.
Louis tends to stand with his hands on his hips a lot- it's almost like his default position.... Maybe a nervous thing when he knows people are looking at him? |

They're too similar, both reserved. There's nothing to spark off and they won't bring each other out of their respective shells. Early doors but Kimberley and Pasha look more my thing though I miss Chelseeh....

Agree the chemistry is lacking, they should at least look as though they are enjoying the experience together rather than just having the experience at the same time.
It doesn't have to be romantic chemistry, in fact after all the showmances we've seen I think most people prefer just to see a partnership of good friendship. Still, it gives them a story arc- you can see the acting coach coming a mile off! |

I would say that some of the best partnerships have been when you know the couple isn't at it - Chris and Ola, Lilia and Darren and Ian and absolutely anyone he was partnered with

At the moment there is a kind of distance being kept in a number of ways, but they do seem to get on well.
As individuals they both seem OK but maybe both are the type to wait to be introduced. We have often seen the pro eg. Lilia and Karen have to say to Matt and Mark to grab their bum. I remember Matt's reply to Lilia was "That seems a bit rude!" But there is that barrier to be overcome, where the man feels its ungentlemanly to be grinding up against someone you are supposed to be 'working' with. Flavia is one of the less overtly 'sexy' pros, although she still works it when she is dancing, so she may be a bit hesitant to broach the subject. Maybe Flavia needs encouragement/permission from Jimi and Louis needs to get his head round dancing being a lot about acting a part to an audience. |

Flavia looked unhappy to get him on the launch show. I'd say she needs to get over whatever is holding her back and do her job. Louis has always seemed like a cold, reserved person and it's Flavia's job to sort that out.

Flavia is the least outgoing of the women pros. Or the least able to pretend to be. They do seem an awfully dull duo. The woman can dance but I don't buy her as a tutor. I don't think many pros would have let Matt di A do a strop/sulk.

Wow so much judgement so early on. I think we need to give them some time. I think flavia is being a bit stand offish cos of jimi. But did no one see their picture after the dance last night on bbc twitter, they are very affectionate. Plus they are very friendly on twitter so I think it is something that happens on the live shows.

I must say I was disappointed. Thought Louis would be brilliant and there's plenty of time for him to improve and it was only the first show but yeah, something was lacking.

Nicky & Flavia would have been a better fit. Louis & Karen could have done haughty & aloof together.

I would say actually, that most people hate the showmance stuff. However, part of the point of partner dancing is the connection and the chemistry between the dancers. If that's not there then the dance just looks like they're going through the motions & won't connect to the audience at home. That's how I feel with Louis & Flavia at the moment.

I wonder if Flavia is worried about setting the rumour mill off. She's been subjected to it a few times before.

There is no chemistry at all which is a pity as he is good. Flavia looks a bit out of sorts.
