Hi

If anyone is lucky enough to have tickets for next saturday nights show would they be able to act as a spoiler for the night.

I am quite happy to give anyone going my mobile number via a PM for a text to tell me who has gone - which I will post in a spoiler thread

Hopefully someone can help

good idea footygirl, to get our mole in early.

Failing a mole, we could start to look at the bookies online stuff!

Didn't somebody say last year that the bookies remove the couple from the list to avoid folk putting on a bet that would have no chance of winning?

There was also a theory going round last year that the bookies got their info from these forums!

Yes, last year's comments were totally uncalled for and "spoiled the spoiler" for the rest of us avid fans.

I know it won't happen, but I would be glad if no one did go and we didn't have a spoiler thread. It's all very well having everything clearly labelled, but unfortunately a lot of people take the info outside of the 'spoiler' thread and invariably let the cat out of the bag. The only way to avoid having the result spoiled is to stay away from the forum completely, on the very weekend we should be able to come here and discuss the previous night's show and the upcoming result show in safety. I've always felt this was extremely unfair.

We don't have the safety net of UK or US pace threads here. The spoiler thread in SCD provides the results of a show that hasn't yet aired in a forum to discuss that show...it's quite ludicrous really and, in my opinion, very selfish of the few who can't wait another 20 or so hours or refuse to find more private means of finding out the result.

Everyone has the choice whether to read it or not. We are not ludicrous or selfish. Our spoiler thread is very friendly, and we all enjoy it immensely. As it has *SPOILER* in the title, no-one can drop in by mistake!

From my post: "a lot of people take the info outside of the 'spoiler' thread".

I can understand that, because of the comments of some posters on this forum

Also if they get the opportunity to go more than once, they might want to maintain confidentiality

However, the vast majority of us are lovely people, with a passion for this show, and stalking the "spoiler thread" is part of that fun.

*fingers crossed* thanks for making your comments olive

Well, I am on the spoiler thread every year, and on various other SCD threads as well. I have never noticed anyone spilling the beans outside of the spoiler thread. So it certainly is not endemic. Live and let live. It isn't a matter of life and death is it; it is entertainment.

Presumably though it's not the means of finding out the result that is the problem, it's the inability of a select few not to realise that they shouldn't be mentioning it on the forum.

Sorry Katie, but from that post I can't make out if you are for or against the spoiler thread. Maybe I'm just being thick.

True katie and I do acknowledge that even without a spoiler thread here, there is nothing to stop people leaking info obtained offsite. I just don't imagine it would be quite as perilous (but NOT life or death Tommo ). Ideally ofcourse, the producers would reschedule the result show for saturday night instead of Sunday. /more wishful thinking

Anyway, I have had my annual moan, so as you were.

I'm not really either. I generally check the spoiler thread but it doesn't bother me if I don't have chance.
