I took it to be Shane Warne, cricketer. He's now the partner of Liz Hurley, and she has completely changed his appearance, made him lose weight, facelift? change hairstyle.

Shane Warne- google before and after pictures of him pre/ post Liz Hurley and spot the plasticness of his face (all apparently down to his new face cream....)

Australian cricketer Shane Warne

Used to look like this - http://www.greatsofcricket.org/images/warne.png

Then got with Liz Hurley and was soon transformed into a plastic mess with fake hair

Despite how Wayne looked before / looks now or whether you like him or not, I thought it was a very nasty personal remark from Bruno. If Craig had said it , he would have been booed and these forums would be alive with posts regarding it. Not that I'm defending Craig, his "neurological disorder" comment was also unnecessary. I know the judges want to make an impact and must be a bit creative when commenting over and over again on the same dances / dancers but surely they can do so without offending innocent parties that are not even involved in Strictly. The BBC need to smarten up on this, give me a few extra "Yah's" from Darcy any day that pure nastiness

In defence of La Hurley, Shane got the new hair before he met her. See ads of back page of newpapers!
The *style* of the new hair... i guess that's down to her!

I imagine Shane has made a tidy sum advertising the new hair too! I seem to remember Michael Vaughan mentioning it in his comedy routine for Sports Relief earlier this year.

I can't see how Bruno's comment about Shane Warne could be considered nasty. Shane has decided to spend money to make himself look like that. It's not something that's out of his control. If you can't make a joke about that then you could never make a joke about the clothes someone wears or a dodgy haircut. If you choose to do what Shane Warne has done to himself you have to expect some jokes about it.

The comments made were still about how Shane's face looks. Whether he chose to have work done or not, it's still a very personal nasty remark about how he looks right now, sitting at home watching SCD.. Remember, Bruno was using the comparison to criticize Michael, not in a complimentary manner. How would you feel if you had work done on your face and someone you dont know makes a comment like that on national television in front of XX million viewers.

Dont get me wrong, I would be one of the first to make such a similar comment about Shane or anyone else in a similar situation - it's just our sarcastic type of humour, but my point is, it didnt belong on the show.

On Strictly, sometime a certain dance or couple make uncomfortable viewing coz I am so willing them to do well when their time on the show is clearly over but more and more often now it's the judges comments that are making the parts of the show uncomfortable (that and Brucey's cringeworthy jokes )

I agree - he probably expects some ribbing anyway. As if everyone's going to pretend he's just suddenly looking 10 years younger and not make a comment about it

Michael Vaughan's had a hair transplant too - he used to advertise them, I think. It seems to be a 'thing' with cricketers - Graham Gooch led the way with his hair transplant years ago. I was at a professional dinner in Essex with my (bald) boss about 20 years ago when Goochie was the after-dinner speaker. As the drinks flowed my boss was getting louder, and louder, shouting comments over to the top table ...then Goochie stood up to speak. He made a joke about his hair transplant, leant over to my boss and said "I'll let you have the number, sir, after dinner" Made my night!

We'll just have to agree to disagree then, because I don't see it as nasty or inappropriate for the show, and knowing Shane Warne's sense of humour I think he would have laughed rather than been offended by it.

I can't believe people are offended by it!

You must have said, or heard someone say, something along the same lines about a person ("Look at her trying to be all Cheryl Cole" "His hair looks like Katie Price during the porn years")
