Take a look at the end of his latest interview for Radio Times.

Is he suggesting Chas or Dan dies?

I think it would be fairly convenient plot-wise for Dan to die, but Nick Miles (Jimmy), posted this today :

I thought people had belived it was a man because there was some ED statement that the character who died was male

I'd have preferred not to know anyone was dying at all but I'm not going into all that again

He's always making fun of us. Even though I was so "gushing" after his topless scenes last year.

I think he might be suggesting that one of them are going to be responsible for the death of someone.

If Chaz kills Carl I will never watch Emmerdale AGAIN!!!!!

..........................runs off sobbing at the thought..................

TBH i cant remember reading anything from ED statements that says its gonna be a male! I thinks its much like the "Much loved character" thing that some FM posted and everyone has just jumped on it!

That article is purely stating the bookies odds and there's no mention of Steph.

Also, in a previous interview, it was stated that Alan would be changing his living accommodations, (presumably to do with Betteh selling her house to Victoria). Why say he's going to move if they're actually going to kill him off?

I think because TPTB used the phrase 'the soap gods always get their man'. Although that is just a figure of speech.

I'm convinced it's not a woman because I don't think there is a female character at the moment who really 'has it coming'. Possibly Chas but it's obvious that TPTB think the sun shines out of her arse so I can't see the character being killed off. They'd have to think up new ideas to fill up the ten minutes of screentime they waste on her practically every episode. She'd probably come back as an effing ghost.

When is Dan much-loved by anyone?

Totally agree and him shuffling off his mortal coil would be my ideal scenario. It would also conveniently avoid Chas having to marry the plonker.

But in that case, do we think Nick Miles is simply winding us up when he says he's surprised we're all falling for the 'it's a man' line?

I did think it would be Debbie's baby, that would be a sensible way of getting out of the 'designer baby' thing, but saying that they discover a body implies its someone in the village.

I did think Dan, but I agree that he is probably not 'much-loved'.

The way the spoilers on DS are written do imply its Carl as he seems to be having run ins with everyone so we will be left with 101 possible culprits.

If its someone like Alan or Sandy it will be such a let down, and I wouldn't call theirs an 'untimely death' so hopefully that won't be happening.

Emmerdale do seem bettter at keeping these things under wraps than other soaps, like Terry and Viv!
