I keep to-ing and fro-ing between Deli or Doug.

Deli makes sense, she's always after a quick penny. But I don't see how she'd know about it.

Doug is just the kind of person who would invite her. It'd be like, well you helped me with my parents, so I'll return the favour. And then it'll all backfire.

It kinda saddens me Ste might tell Doug about Terry and stuff before he's told Brendan. I just feel if he's involved they'll make him look the big hero helping Ste possibly stand up to his mum. It would be nice if it was just Ste for once having his own story.

I don't think Ste would want anyone to know, really. I don't think it's something he likes to reflect on or talk about, I mean when Brendan mentioned Joel's dad in #ChemistryInTheKitchen, Ste's face said it all that he doesn't like thinking about his folks.

See I'd love someone else to tell Brendan, well, Amy, for the drama of it.


ETA: When Pauline goes on one of her "I wish I'd gotten rid of you" rants, Brendan can step in and stick up for Ste, whilst Doug just stands on the side, being pathetic.

Brendan > Doug.

In my idea HO world, Ste would've told Brendan because Brendan has opened up about Pa and they had a lovely heartfelt moment, however at this point Ste is with Doug still (for dramatic effect ) and Doug gets Pauline over for this wedding and she's all horrid to Ste and Brendan comes along and saves the day.

And that would be the point they throw Doug out to sea

As if I said stick up for Doug.

Like I'd ever want Brendan to stick up for Doug.

If Cheryl's ultimatium has anything to do with Ste , Brendan might not be involved in Pauline stuff though , but i don't think they should dump an oppotunity where Brendan finds out about Ste's childhood it's too good it's one of the reasons they connect surely they wouldn't drop that.
