Counting Up -
Bruce is quite restrained in any comments about physical appearance.
Of the 4 Judges, at least 3 are more likely comments about the men.
Zoe is certainly more likely to make comments about the men.
Is Claudia back on Sun?, again will comment on men's physical appearance while the ladies "have lovely dresses".
So that's 5 for "he has a lovely bum" and 1 for "her curves are all in the right places".”
You obviously missed the bit where he said to Dani (a young woman in her twenties) that she had a "beautiful front". Disgusting comment coming from an 84 year old bloke. Ughhhh.
And to answer your opening post, the BBC allows sexist programmes because it IS sexist, but usually in favour of men.
There are four judges on the show, but only one is female.
The BBC axed Arlene Philips from the show (a woman in her sixties with a lifetime's experience of dance and choreography) and replaced her with a vaccuos (but young and attractive) ex-girl band singer with very limited knowledge. And at the same time, they keep re-hiring an 84 year old man to host the show, who struggles with reading the autocue, forgets his lines and also sometimes forgets people's names.
So if there is sexism in women's favour for a change, I'm all for it!
