Because I've always been a fan of Anton's, I feel I want to agree with you. I don't see what his detractors see, but they are entitled to their opinion. Unfortunately your OTT posts are holding Anton up to ridicule.

This. I have a feeling Anton is always given partners who can't be arsed to break a sweat on the dancefloor. He does not teach them more because they do not want to. They are usually well known so BBC don't mind that they just want to be seen on telly.

I think someone needs new specs!
I'm 57 and I give the students I teach (16 to 18) a run for their money. We do leisure-walking and I'm the one who breezes round. They're all struggling for breath. I'm not even that fit!

The point was being that she dances like one.
She hasn't actually danced yet. She's just sashayed. Hey, if you think her sashaying is redolent of age and fragility then we'll just have to differ.
I understand she's putting in the contractual minimum in terms of training hours. Anton isn't even a cha cha specialist. What were people expecting? She wasn't bad. The choreography wasn't challenging. But old and fragile? I still say no.

Afraid? I didn't sense that. Not being @rsed is quite another matter. I disagree. She looks strong as an ox to me.
But doesnt Anton dancing latin make you cringe....always looks uncomfortable and slighty embarrassing
