I'm watching EastEnders on I-player and Tanya was saying that it was only a matter of time before Lola lost Lexi because "She can't even look after herself" .... I love Tanya but that was rude and a good telling off from Cora was what she deserved

She had a point though?

Who Tanya?

If so then yes an outsider may thing Lola was not a good parent. But as even Tanya herself said its not their business and its not nice slagging off someone who has just lost their kid... especially when its your daughters friend.

Tanya was being her usual snobby, judgemental, bitchy self. No change there then. I simply cannot abide the woman.

Good for Cora in reminding Tanya where she had come from and that she was no better.

Personally I find Tanya rather entertaining

This!
I was hoping Cora would end up slapping her.

As someone on that particular episode thread said, a lot of people of all backgrounds (the phrase "you're not one to talk!" often springs to mind) slag off others behind closed doors, regardless of who the subject might be or what situation they're in. It's not right but it happens a lot.

If Cora wants to take the moral high ground, then she's got to give a dressing down to many more people. Alternatively, she could have risen above it and ignored Tanya.

I think Tanya forgets that she herself had Lauren when she was 18. She tries to come across as a posh businesswoman, but really she grew up on a council estate and was a pregnant teenager.

Me too I love Tanya... I love the whole Branning clan to be honest. She is a snob, but Jo does it so well... I love when Cora tells her "You forgot where you come from girl"
Can't wait for the whole Branning Christmas and for Ava to arrive.. I want to see Cora involved more, she's fantastic!

Most likely coras father refused to have a black baby in the family because of the shame then forced cora to put her up for adoption and cora did and regrets her weakness that she didnt fight for her baby.

Cora thinks her baby died she didnt put Ava up for adoption.

I was glad when Cora told Tanya to stob being a snob, though Cora also likes judging people, if she didnt like Lola she wouldnt have said anything to Tanya.

If you rise about ‘it’ and ignore a snobby, childish and judgemental little tart as Tanya it won't discourage her from making her stupid remarks. She judges others and yet she herself is a marriage-wrecker and so is the male slag that she lives with, her eldest daughter is a drunken slut.I think she really should concentrate on sorting out the vile mess in her own home and stop bitching about the behaviour of other residents.

Sounds like you need a Cora in your life.

Tanya's a grown woman though. She should be able to see why bitching about others is not the best thing to do but if she doesn't, that's her problem and choice. I don't like Cora telling others what to do, when her advice was never asked for.

she may have been told the baby died by family or she is lying because its easier to think its dead then to have to face the now woman she gave up and didn't try to find. Cora's always saying that in her day you didn't make a fuss you just move on and get on or something along those lines so most likely that's how she copes with it.

I have my doubts that Cora didn't know her child was put into care, especially as she is so millitant about Lola getting her daughter back. In fact I think this storyline will lead to Cora making a decision that she wants Ava back in her life.

Awwwwwww, klendathu! You have ruined EVERYTHING, I say EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! I’m going to have to just watch the news on TV. At least there’s a guy on there who does a pretty passable impression of a prime Minister.
