I can still recall one of the early , may have been the first episode where Barry's sister had been having boyfriend trouble and Barry shot off and sorted the lad out

Whoo Hoo. Thanks for that.

Brookside was the only soap that was a "must see" for me,

I loved Brookie, started watching it from the beginning was pregnant with my eldest. Was a shame how it went last couple of years though. But really it was ahead of it's time as it's probably more like it nowadays.

Excellent! I might get this. I used to watch Brookside sometimes. I wish they'd do this for other soaps as well.

Will it be the whole episodes or just different clips from each storyline?

well done lee!

I will definitely buy this, having watched from episode one through to the end, brookside definitely tackled some controversial stuff, although for me it was often the more everyday storylines that were the most interesting, it is somewhat ironic that the early episodes dealt with rising unemployment and ordinary families struggling to make ends meet and lo and behold in 2012 here we are again same problems, different generation

I loved Brookside in its earlier days. It definitely peaked, though, with the Jordache story and just slid downhill after that. It seems to have produced more subsequently successful actors than other soaps eg Anna Friel, Amanda Burton, Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnson. Clare Sweeney has also remained in the public eye.

First off Lee huge congratulations to you for all your hard work with this. I remember signing a petetion 5 years ago not really expecting anything to happen but hoping for the best anyway. Now look 5 years later how far you have come and managed to get mainstream press attention on the way. If only we had people as dedicated as you in all aspects of life then the country would be running a lot better. As far as the DVD goes i'm veey excited and cant wait to get it. Already ordered my copy. Great line up of episodes on their. Pity the didn't include 100 Greatest Moments documentary. It would have been nice to have a little featurette on yourself and your campaign aswell as you are the reason we even have a DVD to look forward to. Well done again pal. Fair play to you
