“Strictly Come Dancing: The Results
Confirmed for BBC One on 21 October at 7.20pm to 8.00pm

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are back with the results of last night’s Hollywood performances. Series six winner Tom Chambers also returns to the Strictly ballroom as the cast of hit West End musical Top Hat join our professionals for a glamorous 1930s spectacular.

But amid all the Hollywood sparkle, our judges scores and the audience votes have been totted up to reveal which of our couples are in the bottom two, and have to dance for survival. Who will be next to leave the competition?

Also, bringing a touch of Motown to proceedings, soul legend Dionne Warwick performs in the Strictly ballroom”

I'm looking forward to this! Yeah, I know, I should probably be posting in the 'I know it's not fashionable but...' thread.

I do love a bit of Hollywood. Since Fred Astaire is unaccountably unable to make it, I'll settle for Tom Chambers doing a routine from Top Hat. After all, he has been playing in it for the last year, to good reviews, I believe. Frankly, I'd rather watch this than listen to 90% of the acts that screeched their way through the results show last year. Should be fun.

Looking forward to seeing Tom and the cast of Top Hat . Listening to a late night show on BBC London, the presenter Joanne Good said it was a fabulous show and Tom was great.

I love Tom! I thought he was great. I'll never forget how wonderful that showdance was. I'll be happy to see him.

I can't stand him either.

I'm looking forward to Dionne Warwick though.

Well. I've seen Top Hat in the west end and he was absolutely amazing in the dance routines! The tap routine at the end of Act 1 was brilliant - I hope that's what they perform on scd!

There, I've said it. (sticks head under blanket and runs and hides).

I actually agree, nothing has come close since. They are disappointment year on year, as nothing matches that.

I'll bet if someone did a poll..... (oh hang on, i forgot and Lisa Snowden) - sorry second best ever!

I really liked him on the show too.

But I thought he was running Strictly down to the ground not so long ago?

I didn't have a favourite that year, but had no great objection to Tom winning. He did deserve it, if only for that great showdance, which is absolutely the sort of dance I want to see in the final. Apart from the unintentioned hilarity of Bacofoil and Puppetgate, they have all disappointed. Why can't they do a showdance that's not full of bells and whistles and frenetic lifts. One day they'll do something like this in the UK, and I'll cheer...

...but meanwhile, I'll settle for some ersatz Fred Astaire from Tom Chambers.

At least it means some decent music, as opposed to boring pop.

Chris and Ola's showdance was fun but I agree, they are usually wretched disappointments. But I still remember miserably watching that final which for me was a non event and suddenly being magically transported by Tom's dance.

I liked Tom as a dancer and found him transcendentally annoying as a person, so as long as the post-dance interview (/plugging) doesn't go on too long, I'm all for it.

WHY??

IM sorry but he wasnt the most charismatic of winners & hes already returned before to dance on the show... series 6 was also 4 years ago now.

Why not give a more recent winner a chance to shine again?

I loved hiim! He was the well deserved winner that year, so light on his feet! That showdance with Camilla has got to have been one of the best ever! Yey Tom!
