Brickrunner - new Sandbox MMO game
I played recently in the new game, which is just being developed - Brickrunner. In the game, you can only build yet. But you can have a good play. See the video:
Brickrunner: un nouveau jeu bac à sable ! On Friday, will be published next update version 0.2, and in two weeks will be available completely new version with a second layer of bricks (as there will be trees and things like chairs, tables, lifts, etc.) and above all, the multiplayer mode and map generator. In the future, developers promise mining, crafting, RPG elements (XP, skill points) and many more surprises ... If all developers promises will be in the game, it will be a hit comparable to Terraria and Minecraft. For sure it will look more nicely. Because textures in the game are excellent, and floated dirt and stone - amazing ... What do you think? |

Brickrunner 0.3.6
The latest video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laVUE7RjI4k Now the developers working on dynamic lights. You will have to discover the caves with torches... They will add new resources and items (real minig and crafting), character leveling and enemies in near future. More about Brickrunner you could find on http://www.brickrunner.com What do you think about this project. I'm sure it looks better than Terraria, but I hope it will be at least equally playable. |

Yesterday, was released 0.3.7 version with dynamic lighting. It looks awesome, doesn't look? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQsraqbqm1I |

Coming at this from the outside, as I have no experience with either game, Terraira has an 8/16-bit stylized look and feel which appears quite tight and many folk like that.
Brickrunner looks like LittleBigPlanet done on the cheap. I'm sure it plays well but if you're going to start talking about how it looks and comparing it to other games then this is what folk see when they look at these games for the first time. If you're the dev then I take my hat off to you, it takes a lot of work to churn out even an Indie game these days, but don't try and make out like you're just Joe Regular, in off the street, when you only have 4 posts and they're all promoting this game ![]() ETA: Actually, after looking at the vids, Terraira looks pretty cool. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! |
